Title: A Favor For A Hero Post by tanner on Dec 7th, 2006, 11:20am I will be attending another PGR mission tomorrow to honor home Lance Cpl. James R. Davenport late of Danville, IN. who's family has relocated here to South Carolina. Cpl. Davenport was killed by a roadside bomb the day before Thanksgiving. His brother Daniel is currently serving as a Spec. in the Army, his father Thomas is retired USAF, his uncles Jimmy and Jesse are Vietnam Vets. This family has more than paid their dues. If you could find it in your hearts to add a prayer or condolence to this thread I will be printing it to give to his brother tomorrow There will also be a Memorial service on Dec 16th 1:00 pm at Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg IN. and the wackos have announced their plan to disrupt it. So if you live near there grab a flag and go if you can at his brothers request. I will be deleting the above paragraph before I print the thread. Thanks, Tim Rambow |

Title: Re: A Favor For A Hero Post by tanner on Dec 7th, 2006, 9:35pm You folks are my Hero's, I am going to start formatting and moving the pictures so that I can do a nice job of printing and displaying these amazing tributes. Don't let that stop anyone from adding if they wish as I still have some time in the morning (if I sleep) to finish up before I head out. Thanks JeffB for the bump, and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This thread will remain the same as I will be moving each response individually to Word docs. I can't read this thread without tearing up! I am so proud to be a member of Clusterville. ....Tim |

Title: Re: A Favor For A Hero Post by tanner on Dec 9th, 2006, 3:53am Mission accomplished! Very moving and very tough. I gave our tributes which I had printed individually to Daniel, young James's brother, needless to say we both cried and I think we will get a note of appreciation from his wonderful family. I took the liberty of making a cover page with our new logo and explained a bit about who we are and that because it was a last minute request I only had a fraction of the good thoughts and prayers of a grateful world. Thank you all and I hope I didn't overstep my bounds with the cover letter but it was by necessity a last minute decision. I wanted the family to know where these were coming from. Thank you all......Tim |
