Title: close call on sunday
Post by barry_sword on Dec 4th, 2006, 7:12pm
My wife Angie gets a big THANK-YOU from me for performing the heimlich maneuver on me last night. I was screwed and she said we need to this now, and she did. She has 8 years first aid and was never required to use it until last night. Thank you Angie, my wife,my supporter. :) :)

Wow!!  Did you two get married at the age of like 10 years old??  Neither of you look old enough to have been married 24 years.  What's your secret for looking so young?  Snow shoveling? [smiley=laugh.gif]

Well, I guess the mountain bike should be first, then the snow, then the shovel.  I'll skip the marriage part though...been there, done that, don't ever want to do it again  >:(

Anyway, congrats on 24 years....so cool!

it's great to have a wife with medical knowledge.  My wife tried that heart punch thing on me and while I didn't need it, I appreciate that she was there for me.

Then there was the time she was doing mouth to mouth on my best friend when I came home.  Good thing she knew what to do, I always thought the person should be lying down for that, but he was lucky that they were alone and she knew what she was doing.

Hug Angie for all of us. We're glad you're still around, Barry.

There is a moral to your story FramCire....
Get your nursing license. The life you save might be your own! ;)

She says it works but she has to often repeat it to make sure it sticks.  I don't know what that means.

Yes folks, I am kidding.

I am however psyched that Barry's wife knew what she was doing.

I got in trouble for using the Heimlich manouvre on a catwalk model - she wasn't choking.
