If by "medical retirement" you mean Family and Medical Leave Act, then no, I've never tried that. I have had to use sick time twice for hospitalizations due to CH. Other than that, I just keep on keepin' on, do the best I can, and keep working for a boss who has been very understanding.

If by "medical retirement" you mean attaining permanent disability status with SSA, I'd say good luck. There's nothing to say that you won't go into remission tomorrow. If you had lost an arm, that's quite different.

10 – 15 a day? That seems a lot for CH, have you taken the quiz on the left?
Tell us more about your symptoms and what a typical day is like for you, I am not saying you don’t have CH but it would help us better understand if we knew more about you.

Matt

Actually, the AF tried to medically retire me due to CH.  I refused-told them they only happened every so often (back when I was episodic) and I was a good NCO.  That was in 1989.
I just filed my SSA paperwork-true I could go into remission anytime-and that would be lovely-but it has been since Feb 05 daily...
