I like it, Char.  Your interpretation captures the immediate visual impression of a concrete bridge of that era--and the "colorless" color of concrete as it ages and weathers--it seems to "mute" light, rather than reflect it.  Almost sepia, but not so yellow.  

Outside Boise, Arrowrock Dam (1911) is constructed of just such materials.  When I saw your painting, I was reminded of it.
