Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts for baby Andy.

His heart surgery was yesterday - he was 7 days old when they operated. I'm told he came through the surgery fairly well and is still in ICU where he seems to be recovering as expected.

On behalf of Andy's family - a huge thanks to those of you who offered up prayers for this little guy and who sent cards. It's truly appreciated.

Even though Andy has a teeny little body, he has a soul and determination to live that is 20Xs his size. I've seen miracles happen at the children's hospital where I work and I'm sure are witnessing one there, too.

Please send more hugs and love to the family and to Andy and I'm sending some special hugs to you!!!!

Please keep us updated when you have a chance, okay?

We just got word that they've taken Andy off the ventilator and have removed his chest tube. :) This has happened much sooner than they told his parents it would.

This little guy apparently really wants to become a member of this old world 'cause he's sure fighting to stay here.

Again - our thanks for all your prayers and kind thoughts. I truly believe they help.

Hi everyone!! Just wanted to touch base with everyone and say a big thanks to everyone for all their thoughts and prayers for little Andy. I just got word that not only is he doing incredibly well, off the ventilator and now out of ICU too...but they are talking today about sending him back to our hospital here at home on Monday!!!
Again, thanks to everyone for keeping Andy in your prayers...I do believe it is working!
