I'm a model of decorum and gentleness. I'll help him understand - trust me ;;D http://www.ouch-us.org/chgeneral/colleagueletter.htm |

Title: Re: Remarks From Co-worker stunned me Post by Callico_Kid on Nov 17th, 2006, 6:36pm Barry, It may be a waste of time, but go the the "Getting to know you" section of the message board and print out the letter to friends and collegues on there. I think it is about the third one down if I remember right. That letter explains CH to others better than I know how to do it in such a way that if they care about you it will matter, but if they don't care about you it wouldn't matter anyway, but at least you will get the opportunity to educate them and give them a reason to understand what you deal with, without generating pity. jc |

Title: Re: Remarks From Co-worker stunned me Post by bothofus on Nov 17th, 2006, 7:31pm Shoot, at 70 he's set in his thinking. Did he really mean harm? Maybe so, maybe no? Would hate to think you got on his @ss and the next day he keels over. Hang in there, there are a whole lot more like him out there that don't and won't and don't want to understand. I got tongue, er, finger tied, typing that. There it goes again. Carl |

Title: Re: Remarks From Co-worker stunned me Post by Linda_Howell on Nov 17th, 2006, 7:42pm I hope that you will not only consider meeting all of us at the next convention, but will also dis-regard any advice like that from someone who has no need for a support group like ours and thank God he doesn't. Once you have gone to a convention you will be hooked, you will totally understand and you will move heaven and earth to be at the next one. We will NOT give you a headache !!!!!!!!! |
