For you locals:

Thanks Chewy

He is now in my prayers, too bad we are too far away to test for bone marrow match.

Pray to God that a suitable donor will be found soon.

Painfree wishes to all.

Thanks for sharing his story with us Don.
Children should not have to suffer like that.
I hope a donor is found soon.

Prayers on there way :'(

They are from out West. I good friend of mine hosted Gage and his family out here so he could recieve treatments at Mass General last summer.

We have arranged for a local cable company to send him streaming video of the upcoming event. He has been adopted by evreyone in Charlestown.

This guy has just got to make it.

Thanks Don.

This little guy has to get better. He's in my thoughts and prayers.

I think being a donor is much easier today than it was.

How sad.  This bothers me more than any of the difficult topics I see discussed her.

Best of luck little buddy.

Thoughts and prayers on their way.

That's the hardest thing to read that I've seen in a long time.

I feel very helpless.  I hope that the drive finds a suitable donor for him very soon.

All the best to this little guy.  My good wishes and hopes are not much help, I know, but I will be thinking about him.

Thank you, Don.

Best,

George

It is possible to be checked....Here`s how...

If you want to register as a bone marrow donor and can't make it out to one of the drives please visit the DKMS Americas myspace page at www.myspace.com/dkmsamericas or at our webpage wwww.dkmsamericas.org.You can get more information about who they are, what they do, and how to receive a Donor Testing Kit in the mail. And just like at all of their drives there is no cost to you to register. They just want to save lives and need your help. So register for Gage Dole and the thousands of other people who need a bone marrow transplant.

Thank You!

Ramon and  I are both on the national registry, and we're both organ donors....

****altho - we registered a like 10 years ago - do we need to update it??   and I also developed RA since then - I dont even know if I'm eligible anymore.   I am going to check into that.... if nothing else - this post reminds me to do that...
thanks.

I added the little guy to my friends...

I hate seeing anyone go thru this crap --- and kids - well, it's just not fair. :'(

Reminds me of a little guy I use to know. It makes me feel so bleesed. Looking at his picture and looking at JD just scares the life out of me.

I hope they find a match. Wishing, praying and doing are  different things. God bless this Child and the Donors.

Rips your heart to read, we will be thinking of this little soldier and praying for him to win his fight.  Praying that they find a match among all the good folk trying to help.
                                                           Cheers Roy :'(

If you cannot become a donor, it is possible to help in other ways, through sponsorship, assistance at donor drives, or monetary donations.

I have Gage #1 in my top friends list on myspace, and have been sending bulletins out to all of my friends with a banner I made.

I'm pulling for the little guy bigtime.

Peace,
Carl

Don,
Lake Oswego is just over the river from my community.
Just how involved do you want to be? Thanks to friends and connections, this summer a club I am in was able to raise $19,000. for a little boy with brain-stem cancer.
This is a good time for me to have my bone marrow tested, and to spread the word about Gage here in the Portland area.

I'll get in touch, and keep you posted.

I'll say a Mi Sheberakh (the Jewish prayer for the ill)

The prayer in English translation

May the One who blessed our ancestors --

Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,

Matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah --

bless and heal the one who is ill:

________________ son/daughter of ________________ .

May the Holy Blessed One

overflow with compassion upon him/her,

to restore him/her,

to heal him/her,

to strengthen him/her,

to enliven him/her.

The One will send him/her, speedily,

a complete healing --

healing of the soul and healing of the body --

along with all the ill,

among the people of Israel and all humankind,

soon,

speedily,

without delay,

and let us all say:  Amen!

http://www.myjewishlearning.com/texts/liturgical_texts/Overview_Jewish_Prayer_Book/TorahServiceDrama3260/MiSheberakh.htm

You're a good man!!!

The link to Gage's banner went bad, so I moved it to my photobucket where it will not "expire".

This is the banner, and below it is the html to add to it a page or comment on myspace. When you send it as a comment to someone, if they click the banner it goes straight to Gage's myspace page.
