by going "guest" does that mean he decided to make a run for drama queen himself then?......

a break can be taken from this website without going the full route of becoming a "guest" unless you have a point to make. and if you have a point to make, I say, make it and avoid the drama.

Matt is a good friend to me and to all of us, he's a throughly decent man with morals, backbone, dignity and courage. I won't have anyone say he is a drama queen, I won't have anyone say a single word against him and I know - and I'm very proud to know - that I'm one of the majority with the same high opinion of him.

I also know Scott well enough to know he wasn't referring to Matt personally but just to the coming's and going's here at ch.com.

All we can do is carry on and keep Matts chair warm for him.

Matt's certainly a stand-up guy, and will obviously be missed for however long he chooses to stay away. He's also a very private person. I'm content to wait for his return, and will not speculate on his reasons for choosing to leave--but will only wish him the very best.

I just got an email from Matt from his address on a different site (talking about trains and stuff). He seems fine. He said he's due for another cycle in late Feb to early March but isn't worried about it due to the therapy he's using.

He didn't mention CH.com. I replied letting him know you guys are worried about him and mentioned this thread.

i feel strongly on this subject so, at times, my passion for my point mischaracterizes the point I'm trying to make.

i truly hate to lose any member of the cluster community whether it be as a result of hurt feelings, frustration, exasperation or what have you.

i also have to admit there are times when i just need to take a few days away from ch.com. there are times when the stories are heartbreaking on days when you don't want heartbreak. there are days when you just don't want to see "anti" this or that comments about anything. there are days when someone takes an opposing viewpoint a little too emphatically and you feel a little chafed by it. so, you take a breather, get a little perspective and return if you want, or spend a little time away. we're a place of passions, pain, love and openness, it is inevitable. i take breaks.

so, my point is, don't let it build up if you're feeling down on ch.com. it's okay. just take a breather, or fight your way through. anything but "going guest" (or worse, threatening to "go guest")

that's all i'm trying to say.
