Title: My monster at work
Post by Bill_G. on Nov 8th, 2006, 10:30pm
About a week ago I had an attack@ work and was able to turn it into a laugh.  Last night while@ work I had another attack and used my break time to abort it with O[sub][/sub]2. In just a little over a week and a half on this new job I was given the job of loader and had been getting recognition for my work almost every night.  I got it made ,  right. well not exactly.
This morning the phone rang, it was  the employment service that put me in the job.  They informed me that I was no longer employed at the warehouse.  Managment has told the service that my work performance was below their standard.
What I cannot understand is that before yesterday I was considered their best loader.  Now all of a sudden (after my attack last night) my work was no longer needed by the company. Sounds kind of funny, doesn't it?  Thanks to you all for letting me vent I feel a little better already.

PFDAN to all
Bill

Bill,

Sorry to hear that. I think of this way, I don't want to work any where that I am not wanted. Unfortunately That seems to be the case every where I work LOL.

Aww Bill I'm sorry, that sucks.
Their loss in the long run, especially since you even used up your break time to abort. I hope you get another job soon  [smiley=hug.gif] How is your wife doing?

Hey brother,
I manage a staffing company and I really feel for you. I'm more than sure it wasn't your work performance that got you let go, it was the company you were placed at.  A big reason companies use temp services is to evaluate workers without making any commitments. When they see someone doing real well they tend to hang on to them. When they see potential issues that could affect them down the road they are quick to pick up the phone and end that person. That's the beauty of "at will" states, it's getting easier to fire people for whatever reason you want....
Keep your chin up!!!
