Title: Remember to submit recipes
Post by catlind on Oct 24th, 2006, 9:18pm
for the OUCH cookbook.  Other than the thread Elaine started I have only received 12 recipes.  It would be great if everyone could get recipes to me (I'm trying to get at least 150 for publishing) in a prompt manner so we can have the cookbook available for Christmas sales.

The cost for publishing a hardcopy is very very reasonable and of course there will be a means to download a digital format.

Get your recipes in folks.

Cat

(I'm still playing phone tag with Roxy to see if she has the other file)

Take one can of spam, use a melonball scoop and scoop round balls.  Use common bater to deep fry, excellent tastin and easy to store.  My daughter loves them at the beach!

I swear I will get you some. I'm sorry I promised my daughter that I would get her halloween costume made tonight.

I will do my best to get you some I have to look thru my old cookbooks.

I also have some recipes from a "Cookbook for kids" from when I was 9.  Would you like to have a kids portion in the book? Maybe I can make a copy of them and send them off to you?  Scan then or something. Let me know what you think.

That is an EXCELLENT idea Tia!  A kids section would be great, especially since so many of our kids have to learn to be somewhat self sufficient when we are hurting.

Helen, email or PM is fine, but it's easier to handle all the recipes through email.  I look forward to some proper recipes!  Of course, I grew up with many of them, although to this day I still cannot make a successful Yorkshire pud' *sigh*.  My Mom, Nana and I spent an entire day in the kitchen trying to get it right.  Nana couldn't understand what was so difficult, she just flopped out some flour, added her milk tossed in the other ingredients and whisked it up and put in a pan in the oven.  Neither Mom nor I were able to duplicate it hehe.  It would have been easier if she had actual measurements to give us!
