Title: Re: Outstanding flying! Post by BMoneeTheMoneeMan on Oct 23rd, 2006, 10:12pm It gets kind of windy at the coast. The term for what that pilot was doing is called crabbing. That one was such an extreme crab it was more like a foreward slip. It gets windy in more places than just Hong Kong, too. |

Title: Re: Outstanding flying! Post by Kevin_M on Oct 23rd, 2006, 10:24pm Over Lake Erie from Detroit to Cleveland in a 12 passenger turboprop, I'd swear we were flying sideways at one time. The pilots were laughing in the cabin, must have been a daily route for them. ;;D It was crazy. *I'm on dial up, couldn't check it out. :-/ |

Title: Re: Outstanding flying! Post by vig on Oct 23rd, 2006, 10:30pm take a look at some of the crosswind landings on there... makes you appreciate the pilots. I'll have on the D'pends for my next flight. ;;D |

Nope. The natural body product that manifests itself the first time you skydive, free-climb a cliff, or fly as a passenger during one of those bloody landings! |
