Yeah, that's hong kong at the old airport.

I have done that in a cessna 152. If you fly around the coast, you have to crab like that. Its pretty fukkn amazing.

Gee, and here I was thinking it was the 50-60 MPH crosswinds.

I guess since you have you have flown a plane into this airport you know better.....LOL

It gets kind of windy at the coast.

The term for what that pilot was doing is called crabbing. That one was such an extreme crab it was more like a foreward slip.

It gets windy in more places than just Hong Kong, too.

Over Lake Erie from Detroit to Cleveland in a 12 passenger turboprop, I'd swear we were flying sideways at one time. The pilots were laughing in the cabin, must have been a daily route for them. ;;D It was crazy.

take a look at some of the crosswind landings on there...

makes you appreciate the pilots.
