There is a certain slumlord in a college town where I once live that needs to be made responsible for monitoring the visa status of hundreds of students that he rents to - and jailed when he slips up. What about restaurants and grocery stores that serve food to illegals? Surely, they too should be held accountable. Along with everyone else, except the illegal employers. |

Let alone rent and buy cars? They should be going back, then apply legally. We came legally and had to work from the word go. I have been working since 15 years old and have not stopped since. And yes I did start out working as a cleaner after school and in the weekends then progressed to sales and now I am here. We should treat our country like our house, only allow in those who treat us with respect, and we should have the rights to oust the ones who dont. JMHO Annette |

My immigration costs to date range near $5000.00 and I had no 'professional' help i.e. immigration lawyers etc. that would have added huge $$$ to the cost. Several other friends I know that are immigrants that have done it legally have all said, the better way to go was to come here illegally, get all the goodies and then get a fast track to citizenship on top of it all. I tend to agree with Flo in regards to starting in the direction of a solution. Those of us who follow the law and play by the system rules have less rights and priviledges than those who don't. That's the way to start to solve the problem. Incumbents don't have a clue what to do (some have had generations and still don't have a clue) - vote 'em out and get some NEW blood in DC, in your respective states and your local government. We only allow a president to serve 10 years - why do we left congress serve for life? always been a mystery to me. Then let your congressmen and senators KNOW how you feel. If they don't see things YOUR way - vote 'em out next time. The problem with illegals has been going on for quite a while - it's not going to be solved overnight. Back in the old days (50s-60s) KIDS did the jobs that illegals are taking now. Washed dishes, did yards, etc. And those kids grew up with some WORK values. Today we don't let our kids do a damn thing except watch TV and play video games. Put the kids to work! They work cheap and if jobs are not available to illegals maybe they'll stay home. Hugs BD |
