Title: The way life should be Post by eddie on Oct 20th, 2006, 11:03am This is short,,,,and interesting. I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should start out dead; just get it right out of the way. You wake up in a senior care facility and start feeling better every day. You get kicked out of there for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink, you party, you're "generally" promiscuous and you get ready for High School. After High School, you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play or nap all day, you have no responsibilities. You become a baby with no cares whatsoever. Then, you spend your last 9 months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa treatments, room service on tap, larger living quarters everyday...and then...you finish off as an orgasm! It would have to be better that way ... because this getting old ... just sucks! |

Title: Re: The way life should be Post by Tata on Oct 21st, 2006, 1:17am Your post brought tears to my eyes. My dad is in end stage renal failure and we just found out that his potassium levels are sky-rocketing. The doc says he has very little time left--days, maybe a week. I like your version of life and death a lot more than what's going on right now. Hold your loved ones close everyone--and make sure they know you love them. Peace. |

Title: Re: The way life should be Post by jon019 on Oct 21st, 2006, 1:54am Thank you Eddie, that's neat. And Tata, so very sorry. Been there and there is NOTHING that makes it easy. It took that to make me realize how important it is to hold the ones you love so very close, and make sure they know you love them. It would be awful to regret not doing so. Thanks for the reminder. To praphrase an old Persian saying: When you are born, you arrive crying while all around smile. When you leave, may it be with a smile on your face while all around cry. God bless, Jon |
