Andrew harvested his first deer with a bow and arrow on Saturday evening! It was a doe. Took him three years and a lot of learning experiences in the woods, but he did it. I thought he was going to float all the way home he was so pumped up with adrenalin. I said to him "Andrew, you know what your feeling right now?" he said "ya" I said "You can't get that from any drug!"

Yum. I used to work with a bunch of hunters and one of them made the best venison sausage.

Congrats to Andrew. There'll never be another one that will mean that much to him. Can't wait till our little Caleb gets his first one. His dad takes him with him hunting and he really wants to "kill" a deer. Maybe in a few years (he's almost 5).

I know you're proud! My boys grew up in deer stands and bass boats. :) They loved the hunt.

Jerk it and bring it to the convention so you guys can share......Way to go, bow hunting takes alot more stealth and skill than guns, it an accomplishment to remember.
