Actually, Tim, it's not a reflection on you. People are probably avoiding this as the topic was "discussed" in another thread and that discussion got rather impassioned at times. I don't think the matter is closed, just on hold until emotions are not so raw.

It sounds like a great idea Tim. I mean, why not. Don't the free deserve some respect? Not just "Oh they're dead. That's so sad" for a couple months to get pushed out by a bunch of BS. A page where friends and family can let everyone know what the hell's going on. It's something to deffently think about.

IMHO I would think that their Names would be enough, then anyone who wants to say something about them they could, good things I would hope,

I agree with that - just names, possibly dates if some wanted that. And a place, like a guestbook, where people could leave comments.

Gator - was it you that created the Kip memorial page?

I mean, it would just be nice to have a page where the names were listed, a guestbook was available, and maybe it could have a candle flickering graphic or the hands that Redd sometimes posts for vibes or something - just a nice memory.

I know we don't want newcomers coming to the site and seeing a "death" page - but what about just a nice memorial...the link wouldn't have to be hugely highlighted or anything - everybody has friends and family members who have died...it's not like we're making a page unique to people who committed suicide or died as a direct result of CH or anything.

This is becoming a popular thing, there are sites dedicated to this cause such as mydeathspace.com.

I think if it were a remembrance and celebration of life rather than a symbol of death, it would be a good idea.....if done tastefully.

Death is real so a names, dates, and some other stuff is OK from here. I'm not so sure that it would be the place for tributes and memorials though.

Well - no I don't personally feel the need for a guestbook or anything. Some people were mentioning being able to leave comments. But it certainly wouldn't have to have that. Could just have the names listed with a tasteful background...
