Title: =\ Post by alchemy on Oct 11th, 2006, 2:08pm Hey this is Brie. Jims daughter, my parents dont know im doing this but my dads back in the hospital. I was on the computer last night and i turned around and my dad was on the floor, he blacked out and he wouldnt respond to me.So we took him to the ER. They admitted him and they might be doing the surgery tomorrow. I personally wanted to thank everyone for all their support and love that you have been giving it means the world to all of us. I love my dad to death, hes my best friend and it kills all of us to see him this way.The thing that scares me is that he doesnt even remeber that he blacked out, or that he was on the floor.Hes lost alot from having this dieses, but him talking to you all makes all of it go away for awhile. So thank you soo much for everything, and I just wanted to let you all know where he is,because I know he gets on here everyday! Much love, Brie |

It's wonderful that while going through the trauma of having to get your Dad to the ER, and everything that goes with that, you were thoughtful enough to let us, his CH family know. We truely appreciate that. Give Dad hugs from us, and Brie, here are some hugs for you, too [smiley=hug.gif] [smiley=hug.gif] Sandy |

Title: Re: =\ Post by Margi on Oct 11th, 2006, 2:57pm Thanks for letting us know, Brie - your dad posted about how happy you made him yesterday when you kissed him and told him you love him. I love to hear that stuff. :) Don't you worry about your dad, ok? He's a real tough guy, all clusterheads are. I know it's scary what you went through last night but maybe this will push the surgery ahead for him a little bit and he'll get some relief quicker. All things happen for a reason, darlin, ok? You hang in there. Please tell your dad that we love him and are pulling for him, prayers going up. Please also keep us posted when you can! Margi |

Title: Re: =\ Post by brewcrew on Oct 11th, 2006, 4:26pm Brie - Upper right, along the top bar where the "Reply" button is - there's an option to print the whole thread (it'll print without most of the graphics). Let this thread build up a little then print it and take it to him. I was recently in the hospital for three days, and when my wife did this same thing, it was the highlight of my stay. |

Title: Re: =\ Post by TxBasslady on Oct 11th, 2006, 5:02pm I just talked to Jim. Everything is gonna be ok. Kathy and the girls are with him. Evidently had a CH worse than any he's ever had....off the Kip scale for him. He said the CH has never hit him as fast as it did last night...I guess he passed out before he could get to the 02 or any meds. :'( When I called, Brie answered in his room...Jim wanted to know how I found out...so while I was telling him...Brie took Kathy out to the hallway, and fessed up to coming here and making the post. As you can see, Brie knows how important Jim is to us, and she also knows how important we are to him. You did good, Brie :-* Much love to Jim, Kathy, Brie & Kayla, Jean |

Title: Re: =\ Post by rickyshot on Oct 12th, 2006, 8:41am I was confused about the surgery thing as well. I have had similar experiences but I suffer complicated migraines as well as Ch as y'all know and when in cycle deal with both. I have had BAM basilar arteryl migraine which mimics strokes and can and does lead to strokes as in my case with a TIA. This really sounds like a migraine component thrown in with the CH. Jim don't leave there till you are thoughorly checked out by neuro. I imagine they will do a CT scan and MRI. I wonder this time if you get the steroid taper to go along with more DHE like I did. Oh joy......... You are tough. People just don't know. The head rules the body and this shit is something else I tell you. I bet you must have been feeling pretty crappy for a long time. Unfortunately I know the feeling. God bless you and speedy recovery. Oh you have a great daughter. :-* |

Title: Re: =\ Post by TxBasslady on Oct 12th, 2006, 1:06pm Unless something's changed....Jim is supposed to be having the ONSI surgical procedure. Sending mega vibes to my friend.... :-* Thoughts and prayers to Kathy and the girls. ;;D J |

Title: Re: =\ Post by TxBasslady on Oct 13th, 2006, 1:42am I talked to Jim a couple of times today. He's doing fine...they have him back on the DHE, and morphine. They have him tentatively scheduled for surgery next Thursday, the 19th. The doc's are releasing him today (Fri). They evidently can find nothing to explain why he passed out, other than the extreme pain of the CH he had prior to that event. He'll be back here on the board as soon as he can ;;D Jean |

Thankyou for knowing your father would want to let us know if he was away from us for a while. Tell him we will be waiting..........love ree |
