Once there was a little child who went on an errand for her mother. She was late returning, and her mother asked her for an explanation. The child replied that a playmate of hers had fallen and broken her doll, and that she helped.

The mother wondered what the child could to to help mend a broken doll, then heard this marvelous reply:

"I just sat down and helped her CRY".

There are times when with other people, we too cannot solve their problems; we can only become part of their grief, blending our tears with theirs.
