Title: Re: There should be some kind of license to have p Post by BarbaraD on Oct 8th, 2006, 11:16am This is awful and should be punished. I just hugged my dogs and told them how lucky they were to have me as their Mommy. Homer, my youngest, was put (along with his mother and siblings) in a trash bag and then in a dumpster, but was rescued. I still can't understand anyone doing that. Yes, Sven I agree - people should be licensed to have animals. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: There should be some kind of license to have p Post by Charlie on Oct 8th, 2006, 2:21pm Yuck. Just horrible. Actually, there are laws but it's just a way to make a buck. When I was a kid, this kind of thing was done all the time though. Things are better but it's awful. Charlie >:( |

Title: Re: There should be some kind of license to have p Post by Mattrf on Oct 9th, 2006, 11:55am When I was in the Air force in 1983 I was scuba diving in the Philippines and came across this same thing but it was a cinderblock that a puppy was tied to, that kind of image never leaves you. I watch animal cops on animal planet all the time and just love to see them arrest people for mistreating there animals, how anyone can do such horrible things to there pets is just beyond me. Matt |

Title: Re: There should be some kind of license to have p Post by LadyElaine1 on Oct 9th, 2006, 1:56pm That that is bad. who ever did that will pay in the end. Laws are so different in different parts of the world. My brother and his wife are in the process of Divorce. They owned four horses and a bunch of dogs. His wife would not let him take the animals. He took her dog food and food for the horses. She got a restraining order to keep him away. Friday he was called by the police that she had let the animals starve one had died. He had to bury it. It was his daughters horse. Another one is near death. They are letting my brother come on the property to feed the animals. No charges have been filed against his ex. I am so mad about that and seeing this just makes me madder! |

Title: Re: There should be some kind of license to have p Post by drivin_blind on Oct 10th, 2006, 10:03am Growing up, my father was a veterinarian. You should have seen some of the things people did to animals. Unfortunatly, as a police officer and now as a Judicial Officer, I see some of the same things done to humans. Where are we going as a species? Dick |
