I've been thinking.. (and as Jonny would say STFU peanut gallery and you know who you are!)

Jonny's been here 7 years today.

Thats 2557 days counting leap years.

If he had two beeeeeeeyurs a day while posting thats 5114 beeeeeeeeyurs! :o (All hail the mighty liver!)

It also means on average 4 posts per beeeeeeyur. I think we've had pretty good value don't you?!

Now if I had to count the ;;D and the [smiley=crackup.gif] he's given everyone I'd be in trouble!

Only 2? Not a chance. He funnels 2 before he turns on the computer. Then probably has 2 more as it boots up. That's before posting! Just a guess.

To be perfectly honest, when I first came on Board Jonny scared the living daylight out of me with his tattoos and his 4 letter words :o

As time passed, I watched him day in day out silently in the background offering help and support in a no nonsense way yet with so much care that I started to like the man. :)

Then came the respect when I learnt that he has been doing it every single day for now 7 years, without fail. He answered every PM, every email, every call for help. He never tries to be in the limelight but was always there.

The man has an uncanny knack for appearing just when needed. He has done so for me quite a few times, without me ever needed to ask.

Behind the mask of toughness is the biggest, most caring heart that I have ever seen.

People may think that I am trying to get into his good book, that I am exagerating. Frankly I dont care, it all came from the bottom of my heart and also from there comes the biggest

and the REALLY cool thing about Jonny's tenure here is that he has FINALLY caught a break from being chronic since he was a teenager. It's nice to see him get that reward - no, it's HUGE to see him get that reward - and I can't help but think it all comes down to karma. What goes around, comes around.

It sure dont feel like seven years and thats probably because all of you folks are way too cool for words.

I could count on one hand how many days that I didnt make it here and that was not for the lack of trying to find a puter....LOL...I will be disappearing for a day or so later this month, I doubt I will have puter access so do go worrying [smiley=laugh.gif]

Johnny has taught me a few things in my limited time here and left me with a few thoughts:

1. The song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" has new meaning to me.

2. As does the movie quote, "It's good to be King"

3. You can't judge a book by it's cover. Yes, he scared the crap out of me before I met him.

4. Meeting clusterheads in person really enhances the ch.com experience.

5. Some people just say it like they see it, and while you may not agree, it is nice that these people are just plain old honest.

6. Even if Johnny pisses you off, he still is Johnny. To know him is to love him (yeah, I said it).

7. Chewy and Han Solo are no longer a Star Wars duo, they are a Ch duo to me.

7 thoughts for 7 years. Congrats man. While I reserve the right to hide it, I respect the heck out of you. Thanks brother for helping me with my battle. I hope you never need me to return the favor, but you can bank on the help if I can ever help you.

P.S. Am I the only one who originally thought this thread was about Johnny Mathis Not Johnny Maths?

Jonny,

You've been here for me even when you didn't realize it. I would read posts you made to others and they would help me thru the pain. At times you kicked me so hard in the arse that my hemeroids became pimples on my face. It was always what I needed. You found that the secret to being PF is to be a pain in the arse to everyone else. It works for you so keep on.
