Title: Re: newly diagnosed ch sufferer Post by Mattrf on Oct 4th, 2006, 11:29am Give us a good run down on your symptoms and pain levels and treatment they have tried and we will all do our best to help you get your doctor to give you the best treatment he can. It is very clear that most doctors do not know much about CH so you have to educate them by doing your own research and taking them everything you can to help them help you. So keep reading and asking questions, there are a lot of good people here that want to help and thanks for offering help on your first post, that is what this place is all about. Sorry you had to find us but glad you are here, welcome to the funny farm. Matt ;;D |

Title: Re: newly diagnosed ch sufferer Post by LeLimey on Oct 4th, 2006, 12:08pm I just saw this too and thought it was you Steve - Hi Alan, as you can see this is going to get confusing as we already have a KOP! Let's see.. you could be King of Pain's in the :-X .......nope that's JeffB King of Queens?? Nope, ain't going there! ;) Bugger King?! You're welcome anyway, we just can't resist a giggle sometimes :) Helen |

Title: Re: newly diagnosed ch sufferer Post by Margi on Oct 4th, 2006, 12:19pm well, actually - he doesn't live too far from Queen's (University) so maybe.... naw, that title's reserved for Chewy, right? ;) Allen - you'll note that we already have another KingOfPain here and, well...he picked the name first, he's been here longer, so technically - he does have bragging rights to the name. These Yabb boards, though - even if you make one character different from another user name, they will allow this kind of duplication. Not your fault. How about SarniaSufferer? Or maybe even PRINCE of Pain, would that work? Or hey...even just Allen? :) |

Welcome Allen. You are NOT taking up our time and the "whoever started this" person would be a man named DJ He is our hero... but he will be the first to say it is, 'US' who have made this site what it is. KOP or Steve, is our (American) King of Pain so if you want to change your name you've certainly been given a few rather interesting choices to come up with. Hope you pick one you will like. ( Margi? Do I end this with an "eh"?) |

Title: Re: newly diagnosed ch sufferer Post by tanner on Oct 5th, 2006, 12:31am Allen, I just want to add my welcome to what may very well turn out to be the most meaningful site you have ever clicked on. Here you will find the most comprehensive collection of knowledge of CH and links to more than anywhere else in the world. You will also find nutcases (no Helen I did not mean you ;) and some true rocket scientist types. Yes there is a lot of pain here, but if you share this pain than you are in the right place. The most amazing thing you will find here though is a depth of understanding, caring, and love that you can only see in the very best of families! As far as the name thing goes as you see we already have 1 in name and another by reputation (yes jonny i do mean you), so you might want to rethink that. History has shown that when you get too many Kings and not enough subjects it is usually a couple of the Kings that lose their heads ;;D Nice to meet you and wishing PFDANs to ya.....Tim |
