There's been alot of controvercy over the drinks label, my question is if you use Red Bull, would you buy this if was on the shelf at your local store if it helped abort your attack? Lots of communities are attempting to ban the sale of it.

Lets here it  ;;D

I have never tried Red bull when getting shadows or hit.  Only thing I have tried is coffee...spoon disolving strong coffee.  Has anybody seen or tried this stuff:

Sounds like an interesting product to at least try.

I'd definitely give it a try.

Hope each can comes with a diaper.

Well... I'm pretty sure that if I'd see a can of it at my local store, I'd pick it up and give it a try. After all, I have tried pretty much all the other energy drinks available in this country! :-X

But I must admit... I'd like to see the look on mum's face when I tell her that 'I use cocaine regularly now...' ;) and after I've taken a pic of her face, I'd show her the can. ;;D

I'd try it.  Besides, what's in a name anyway?

I hear ya, Bill.  Although I drink lots of caffeine, I have a feeling this stuff would give me a bad case of the hershey squirts.

Brian!!!!!!! Ewwwww .. TMI dopeybutt!  ::)

My only concern is that it takes up to 15 minutes to kick in.. thats too long if you're a ch'er. I'd certainly give it a try though.

I think those who are trying to get it off the market could spend their time on something important. All this hype is ridiculous IMO.

I'd give it a try but I agree with Helen.  The Red Bull works pretty well for me, so if this took 15 minutes to kick in, think I'd just stick with the RB.  However, this might be great for those days when I don't get any sleep!  The only thing is that God knows it probably causes TERRIBLE caffeine withdrawal headaches, which is already a concern of mine with the RB even.  Also, it's not good for your heart to dump that much caffeine in your body at once!  Caffeine is still a drug, albeit a legal one, and it makes me nervous that some kid will drink this and go into vtach or something like that!

For CH, I'd still try it, though!

While I think the naming of the drink was irresponsible and will probably be the death of the product, I'd try it if I saw it on a shelf here.

Sometimes in order to try to gain quick market share in an already competitive market being outright controversial is what they are shooting for, getting exposure through introductory marketing.

One of the stupidest marketing plans our airline came up with to sell business class seats was showing the legs of a woman sitting in business class with a tall drink next to her.  The ad said "size matters, get six inches".  (More legroom.  Guys! Our marketing must be men because it's really only five inches)
Anyway it caused newpaper ruckus and lots of attention.  We all thought it was disgusting and it was embarassing to work there.  Since then, they've come up with attempts to be offbeat in marketing in other ways.

Desperate marketing.

It keeps getting my mirror sticky and doesn't chop up very well.

While I think the name was created to stir controversy and create hype, but found this a bit interesting. A clip from an article on abcnews... (link to whole story below).

Quote:
The beverage is marketed to give a person a "high" coupled with a tingly euphoric feeling within five minutes of drinking it. That initial boost is followed 15 minutes later by an energy buzz that will last five to six hours, according to the company.

Kirby claims Cocaine is "350 percent stronger than Red Bull" but that people do not experience the "sugar crash" or jitters that he says some of the other energy drinks can produce.

The Secret Formula?

Kirby confesses that a "throat-numbing" ingredient is added to the drink to emulate its namesake, but he won't divulge the identity of that add-in, saying it's confidential.

"We're getting a phenomenal response," says Kirby, crediting the can's simple design and product promotion for the drink's early success among consumers from high school kids to 30-year-olds.

If it makes it here to the midwest, you betchyer sweet bippy I'm gonna try it! I passed out 2 hours this morning after only 40 minutes sleep in 3 days and right now am operating soley on JOLT and AMP, since the store I stopped at had no Rip-It energy drinks (.99 cents a can!) or Red Bullshtein. Right now I feel like this...
