P.S. This morning we went to a small town called Wortley, and my mother's maiden name is Wortley.  My family tree actually goes back to Sir Richard Wortley who lived there in the 1500s.  Next time I come (and there WILL be a next time) we're going to have a more thorough trip there so I can learn all about my ancestors, etc!

Helen is one of the finest people I have ever met, her hospitality has no equal. She has a heart of gold. Jokes aside, she is  one of the good ones. Those that know me know I don't say that lightly.

We're all off to London today for a spot of sightseeing and another meet and greet so it'll be a late reporting in from your US Embassy in Bingham (ask Beeeyul ROTFLMAO)

Last night I got a horrid reminder of what all this is about and just why I know all these wonderful people.. First of all Carrie got hit, then my friend Michelle who is undiagnosed at present but won't be after I drag her arse to the doctor tomorrow. There wasn't anyone here who didn't think she was a fellow ch'er along with me. Dape was a star with her, he was just brilliant and then the poor bugger got hit himself. Matt stabbed him with the imi while I was getting O2 and Michelle was stopping him banging his head on the wall. A rather rude reminder of why we're all together but a big reminder for me to do all I can to fight this condition and do all I can to help others.

Dape, if you read this - I love you so much honeybun, you're one of the brightest stars in my CH sky and I'm so proud to have you as a friend. I want you on my team forever!  [smiley=hug.gif] Now go and tell Julie I said you could do the housework today as a reward!  ;;D

What a treat the visit must be.  You've probably got the entire it all planned out, but if you're driving down to Stonehedge, take a little longer and drive Matt and Marry down to Cerne Abbas.  After they've "walked" around the figure, tell them what they've done.

As a Yank and retired Navy fighter pilot, IWM Duxford is one of my all time favorites in the UK.  The path to the American Air Museum is sobering.  It also places the present war against the radical jihadist in a historical perspective.

We're all still hanging around because it's so damn hard to go to bed when you're surrounded by clusterheads!  I actually have to get up at 5am so that Helen and I can leave for the airport at 6am...and it's currently 2:25am here!

This trip has been really one of the greatest things I've ever done in my life.  To have done it with my clusterbuddies just makes it so much better.  I've been hit a few times (kept most hits away by taking Frova twice a day, but still sometimes it idn't work so well!), but it just reminds us why we're all here for each other as Helen wrote about last night when several of us got hit.  Then Matt got hit this morning and then on the train back out from London, and it made me feel so damn helpless to not really be able to do much.  Before we got on the train, I did get him 2 cups of black coffee.  Helen got him some ice on the train.  He'd already taken a Frova that morning and didn't like the feeling it gave him, but the only triptans I had with me were Frova and Amerge, and he didn't want either of them.  Helen and I educated the two people sitting on the train across from us about cluster headaches...and the one kid had even text messaged his 2 best friends who are in medical school at Leeds University...think of the impact!  I felt terrible that Matt had to get hit, but we did use that opportunity to educate more people about CH and then hopefully they'll educate others and so on.

That's what it's all about.

I'm so sad to go tomorrow!  I've had such a wonderful time here, and I can't thank Helen enough for her hospitality.  Just about 20 minutes ago, she showed me on the map what we're going to do when I come back, which will tentatively be after I graduate from my masters program (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) in August 2008.  I'm gonna try to swing it as a graduation gift... teehee ;)

At any rate, I've gotta go finish packing my carry-on suitcase and get to bed.  I'm taking home discs of over 1000 pictures of these last 8 days.  I know this trip is going to really get me through the next long time until we all meet again....just looking at the pics, reading over my journal, etc....it's too much to wrap my head around right now!
