Title: Storms
Post by alchemy on Sep 12th, 2006, 8:09am
We've been getting some pretty good Monsoons around here lately. Saturday we got an isolated storm that was one of the worse I've seen in a while. They actually posted a tornadoe warning. In the midst of this I had to go pick up Brie. Our road was getting washed out when I left to get her but still driveable. coming home though was a different story, there was a river going across the road and though I would have preferred going around there were no other routes to take. Shortly after crossing the police closed the road. We have no flood gates yet. these pictures don't really do justice as the water was over the pegs. crazy I know but I'm an expert rider and can read the risks.

I would have preferred to wait the storm out but we had a very important appointment at home that Brie couldn't miss. oh well a wet ride is still a ride. ride on

Nice bike (of course I HAD to say that first bein avid riders ourselves)........we've got stuck ridein home is torrential downpours so hard that it was running in our mouths and nose about drowning us....we'd usually pull over under a bridge or at  gas station if sumthin with shelter was close. Would have to dump our boots of water when we got home. But ridein thru high water on a bike would be scarey.....is that good on a hot engine Pam

I hate it when my thong gets wet.......stay dry !!!!! Stay safe !!!!!
