Title: gone full circle Post by JenniferD on Sep 11th, 2006, 6:11pm wow, seems just yesterday when I'd run home from work, get the kitchen cleaned up before starting dinner. The kids were young then and couldn't do it all by themselves. So there was me, home alone, loading the dishwasher, cutting up veggies, and the kids were out playing before dinnertime. Then I blinked and they were young teens and I stayed later at work. They'd get the kitchen cleaned up once they got home from school and sometimes start dinner or at least start preparing stuff so I could finish up. I guess I blinked again. I'm home alone and got the kitchen picked up, the dishwasher started, and made the salad, now waiting for them to come home for dinner from their jobs. I'm afraid to blink. |

Title: Re: gone full circle Post by JenniferD on Sep 11th, 2006, 6:26pm guess I'm just missing the little arms I had before. And I am SO not ready to be a grandma. I'm having enough trouble with this soon to be empty nest crap. Didn't think this was going to be so damn hard. You wait and wait and w a i t for them to be big enough to be independent, then BAM they are and you're kinda left going, wait a sec............ they don't need me. |

Title: Re: gone full circle Post by maffumatt on Sep 11th, 2006, 8:44pm You cant get more Redneck than Cass County Texas, ask Barbara or Donna......... I tried to get him to come but ....well he's as stubborn as.......you. He said he flew for a year and a day in Vietnam, he figured that was enough and he didn't want to push his luck. |
