I got my first commission check yesterday, and after paying off a few bills still had some left over.  So i splurged....

OOOOO.

The mushrooms did me in.  I'm inordinately fond of mushrooms, and I'm not even a hobbit.

Salmon steaks grilled on cedar planks here, with butter and lemon.  Out-of-season asparagus (I know, I know).  Big Idaho bakers.

Best,

George

Cleaned out the fridge - it's leftover night. Grampa had Salisbury steak over noodles, I had Chicken and Dumplings, my bride had Eggs and an English Muffin (do they just call them "Muffins" in England?) with a bratwurst, and my son had the same thing as mama did.

Made some room in the fridge, that's for sure. Now we gotta figure out what we're gonna make for tomorrow.

I just finished a week of eating imitation seafood in Vegas.

Soon as I hit Boston I got a large basket of Fried Clams with a side of Fried Sea Scallops.

Of course George...I'll even sautee' you and your wife a batch of your own if you come visit.

These were made with a red wine base..not a trigger is it?

Not a trigger out of cycle, no.  Thank goodness.  A world without wine would be a world without--well--wine.

Better save some for my daughter, too.  She likes mushrooms as well.

"I LOVE mushrooms", she just added.  She's reading over my shoulder.

Best,

George

Today is going to be Orv's Riser Pizza while watching the Packers take on the Bears!  I'll also have some popcorn and ice cream on hand too. ;;D

I am sure everyone is expecting for the Bears to cream the Pack but we'll see what happens!
