Seems the great croc hunter finally pushed his luck too far :-[

I can't believe this.  My mom and I used to watch this show and laugh...that he was a crazy mutha.

I guess he was filming an underwater documentary and got hit my a sting ray's tail, they think it punctured his heart.

R.I.P.

I am amazed he made it to 44.  Very sad for his young family.

When I was a kid I had Jungle Larry.....then the Hannah dude came into the picture (Ohio and both had alot to do with the zoos) and then the Erwin dude......I just LOVE'D that guy !! There's a coupe other dudes that do similar stuff......hope they can keep it safe ! One guy was on tv chaseing cobra's.....good grief he'd just dig one out of the brush and run around with it telling info for the camera and then was takein pics of them ready to strike gettin awesome shots a foot away and he even touches there heads or kisses them ALL THE TIME. No fear of the fear'd Pam

Always hoped none of these guys pulled an all nigther at the local town hut bars and had to film the next day......not a job to be burnt out for in the least !!

I grew up with Marlin Perkins and Jim Fowler on Mutal of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Steve Irwin was a great one and will be missed.
