Title: Test results in my hand! Post by LadyElaine1 on Sep 2nd, 2006, 4:14pm Findings: The examination demonstrates an approximate 2-cm left adrenal mass. Recommend follow- up MRI for futher evaluation. Differential may include adrenal adenoma, metastatic lesion or pheochromocytoma. There is a small hiatal hernia noted. There is a tiny bilateral nonobstructing renal calculi noted. There is no significant inflammatory change right lower quadrant. There is no gross evidence of diverticlitis. There are postsurgical changes noted. There is aortoiliac atherosclerotic changes. There are mild fibroemphysematous changes of visualized lung base. To sum it up. 1. adrenal mass! Explains why I have head tremors and can't handle heat. 2. Hernia hernia ! I didn't know I had that I take reflux meds. 3. Kidney stones 4. postsurgical changes> Now what the heck does that mean? Anyone here know what all this means? Please let me know. Thought I would share what I have, but don't really understand. |

Title: Re: Test results in my hand! Post by JenniferD on Sep 2nd, 2006, 8:37pm I agree with Steph, but do yourself a favor...only deal with ONE thing at a time. Dealing with all of it mentally and emotionally may overwhelm you. I wish I could help you understand what is going on or what is wrong, but I can only offer my support and positive vibes, and you have all of that. Please keep us posted on how you are doing, k? Hugs and prayers for well-being, Jen |

Title: Re: Test results in my hand! Post by DonnaHar on Sep 3rd, 2006, 4:39am Elaine.....I've gone the internet route and all I did was find answers that didn't apply to me but I thought they did. Your doc owes you a full explaination because he's the one who knows how these terms apply to YOU. There are some words in there that can be taken a few different ways. Do like the others have said and enjoy the week-end. Monday, tell this heartless man/woman who gave you this report without explaining it that you need to know now so that you can deal with it if you need to. Otherwise, he/she should put you at ease and let you tuck it away somewhere and not worry. Big hugs, Donna H |

Title: Re: Test results in my hand! Post by LadyElaine1 on Sep 3rd, 2006, 11:33am We are enjoying the week end....Last night we went to Buddy's brothers house and helped rost a pig for a cook out today. Today we will be going to the cook out. I am not letting it stop me. I am just mad at my primary Doctor. She hasn't told me a thing, just writes referals for me to go to. The only thing I have been told by anyone is I have that mass on my adrinal glan, kidney stones and I was low on potassium. I was told that by the ER doctor. Now I see other things and have no one to explain it. Maybe by the end of the week I will have some answers. I am just glad I have you guys to venty to and my wonderful family. Well got to get ready to go eat a pig :-) Love ya guys |

Title: Re: Test results in my hand! Post by LeLimey on Sep 3rd, 2006, 7:40pm Elaine start eating banana's and jacket potatoes! They are both loaded with potassium so do your best to get it that way 'cos trust me.. if they make you drink that sheet you'll gag! Its the nastiest goo I've ever had to have even if it DOES do the trick! You'll be fine, I know this :) |
