I never made that trip with him...but wish today I had. :'( Hope I find the time to head over to C. Christi...it's gorgeous there...lots of sandy beaches and salt water. That's the kind of fishin' I did with my Dad as a small child. Lots of memories.... Jean |

Title: Re: Guess who I met? Post by Cathi04 on Sep 4th, 2006, 1:05pm OK, Jean, YOU"RE ON! The most luxurious salmon fishing you can imagine! Celebrity Cruise line does the Inside Passage......Alaska, in all it's glory! You can salmon fish at 3 diff ports- everything is provided when you disembark-unless you prefer your own gear. Upon returning shipboard, kitchen staff is waiting to bag and label your salmon catch, at which point, it is cleaned, boxed and flash-frozen, to be shipped to your address of choice, for your return home. Of course, while they are doing that, you are dressing for dinner...with a cocktail beside yo...and at the designated time, dinner is served in a luxurious dining room, and you can dance the night away, or see a floor show, or play in a casino, orrr..whatever ya want to do, till morning, when you hit the NEXT port!!! When shall I book?? ::) :o Cathi PS, if you like to go for walks, we can hike Mendenhall Glacier!!! |

Title: Re: Guess who I met? Post by BMoneeTheMoneeMan on Sep 4th, 2006, 1:15pm Hey Cathi, Some of those ships go right to Astoria. Wouldnt it be sweet to just drive out there and hop on a ship? Lots of them go to Seattle, too. That would be pretty damn convenient, and fun. My Aunt is a pretty experienced cruise enthusiast, and she said Alaska was the most beautiful she has ever done. I would love to do a cruise up there. B$ |

Title: Re: Guess who I met? Post by TxBasslady on Sep 5th, 2006, 3:36am Cathi, Wow..believe it or not..I was kinda planning to go on a cruise. Actually, I planned on a cruise to Hawaii. I never thought about Alaska. I think the Hawaii cruise is a 14 day. I planned to go Royal Caribbean...my son thinks they're better than some of the others. I don't think he's ever used Celebrity. I think a Cluster Cruise is a grand idea! ;;D Can't find a better deal, that's for sure. No place else could you spend so little for all the goodies you get. Thanks for the Alaska idea....I just may reconsider. :-* ....and Brian...yes there's lots of big fishes in the coastal waters. I go with my oldest son every now and again. He loves to fish for Bull Red. Last time we went, we caught 9....biggest was 47 lbs. I have a picture of him with a 49 lb'er he caught in Galveston a few years ago. These are some fun fish to catch...they really fight. Jean |

Title: Re: Guess who I met? Post by BMoneeTheMoneeMan on Sep 5th, 2006, 9:16am I haven't heard of Bull Red fish. Are they yummy? Doesnt it sound good to take a big, like 7 pound hunk of fillet and throw it on an open wood fire? Yum Yum :P |

Title: Re: Guess who I met? Post by Cathi04 on Sep 5th, 2006, 9:41am Jean, Hawaii's a good cruise. YOU have an opportunity to get an overview of all the islands.then ya get to pick which ones you go back to on your next vacation. As far as which cruise line? It's Celebrity, hands down for me.... Celebrity goes to both places, and you can't find 2 destinations more diverse.....and beautiful, too! Jean, methinks you need to go on at least 2 cruises!!! |
