Title: Ernesto is here Post by zwibbs/Scott on Sep 1st, 2006, 5:10pm Outside right now we have 25MPH winds....And it isn't really here yet....New Jersey may get as much as 10 inches of rain...We are expected to get 2---to---4 inches of rain. For anyone who has never been to NYC---Most drivers don't know how to drive normally--let alone 2--to--4 inches of rain....When it snows--it is actually funny--cars are all over the place---when it rains like this it is worse. Should be interesting. |

Title: Re: Ernesto is here Post by Sandy_C on Sep 1st, 2006, 5:20pm My daughter lives just outside Wilmington, NC and she got about 10" of rain. She moved in to a brand new construction home in February, and the ground along the side of her garage is sinking, along with the concrete stoop and sidewalk from the garage, and the azaleas planted along the wall! Guess she's gonna have a little conversation with the builder. Me, on the other hand, who lives mid state - just got a couple of inches of much needed rain. Sandy |

Title: Re: Ernesto is here Post by Charlie on Sep 1st, 2006, 6:30pm Weather..... New York is the only place that I've seen where they plow snow with garbage trucks. It's doesn't take much. We, in the Buffalo region, love Snowfall "disaster" reports from cable news..... :o 2 - 4 inches of rain is sloppy but shit. we could use it here. Stay indoors kids. Charlie |
