Title: If it wasn't for bad luck I would not have any ! Post by LadyElaine1 on Aug 29th, 2006, 2:35pm I spent most of the night at the Hospital. A 10 minute cat scan (that my doctor should have ordered) showed kidney stones. Thats not the worst of it they found a mass on my adrenal Glan. I am now waitting on a referal from my doctor to a Urologious. Please pray its not cancer. I don't think I can go through that again. I hurt and I am scard! Also pray for my computer its sick too. |

Title: bad luck Post by cootie on Aug 29th, 2006, 3:55pm They found sumthin like that on my thyroid last year and scared the crap outa me (a mass thingy).....had to have ultra sound stuff and the waiting about made me SICKER then hell and the stuff that goes thru your mind is boggleing !!!! It turned out ok and probly a mass from previous 'horse wreck days'. You'll be ok......ch vibes will be sure of that Pam My mom has surgery in a week for cancer stuff that is BACK on her face but the doc told her there not sure if sum is more serious and she may have to go thru all the treatment stuff 'again'......they'll have it checked while she is under and know for sure when she wakes up. The waiting is driveing my calm as a cucumber mom NUTS !!!!! |

I hate to say it but up here a LOT of unnecessary urological and other procedures are done. It's becoming a scandal. I'd get more than one opinion because of it. Running great now. Dr. Deveny worked on it for me ;-) I did the worst thing I could and got on the computer looking at just what the adrenal glan is. When I found about cancer I had all the signs, sweats, gaining weight in the trunk of my body, (and we all thought me gaining weight was a good thing) Round face. Yep I scard myself more reading that stuff. This gland effects the Heart, blood presure, harmons, all kinds of things. My reg Doctor is giving me problems with giving me a referal. Now instead of urologia I will be going to a Nephrology if I ever get my referal. You better believe I will get a second opinion, before I let them start taking things out. What makes me so mad is I been going to the doctor for two years complaining about the pain, they did nothing but give drugs, pain meds ect... I will be changing primary doctors as soon as this is over . I am just venting sorry. I will be ok no matter what way things go. I just hate putting my family through all this crap again. Its harder on them than me. My daughter just took a new job, that means she can't take off any time. Buddy can't really aford to take time off either. Now is not the time for it all to happen. Prayers and vibes from here have always been great, so I am sure all will be ok. Thanks Elaine |

But, you know....we're not 29 anymore, my friend. The trunk weight gain, sweats, etc. CAN also be a symptom of menopause. So don't assume that it's all adrenal stuff. My father was told he had a mass on his pancreas a few months ago. Went for the ultrasounds and then waited a few weeks to get in to see the doc. Turns out it was nothing, perhaps a gas bubble that showed up on that ultrasound and it's nothing to worry about. Maybe you just need to fart, honey. ;;D As always, you're in my prayers, TS. :-* |

If you're like me, you think the worst...and when you do, it turns out not to be so bad. If I don't worry, thinking it won't be serious, that's when it is serious. So, my advise is to worry yourself sick (well, not literally), pray with all your might, stop self-diagnosing and eat lots of beans. A Nephrologist is probably the right guy to see, but I'd still want that second opinion. I'm taking you to my prayer chain. Love you, Elaine. Donna |

I just found out that nobody loves me but my mother and she may be jivin' too! Easy to say, but do try not to dwell on your situation, wait until the results come in and do follow the suggestions put forward by others to eat plenty of beans-they're good for your heart and the more you eat the more you f**t! I still have not found a Doctor, been on the phone two days now. My Doctor hasn't found one either, at least I have not heard from her. I am going about my kidney stone, fastest they can get me in is Wenesday. The pain is getting bad. I take pain pills at night, but they don't seem to help a lot it takes the edge off. OK we can play a game. Who can guess the day I will pass the stone? ::) |

Have you changed numbers since we talked last? You might try calling some hospitals and ask for their physicians referral list......or go call the Chamber of Commerce to see if they know who to call. A city the size of Atlanta has to have some sort of list of doctors and practices. I'm home and making some calls today to see if I can find that list, but I'd like to talk to you. How about PMing me with your phone no? I don't have to pay extra for long distance call. |

In the last few months I have changed the phone number twice, once because of to many calls at night for Buddy job, (they have a afterhours number) we were getting way to many calls between 12 pm and 7 AM. Then the number they gave us, some guy we did not know in jail kept calling, we accepted one call and told him it ws a new number but he did not believe us and kept calling. I just had the number changed again. Hopefully we will keep this number! I PMed both of you my new number! |
