Title: One Brave little girl Post by Barry_T_Coles on Aug 24th, 2006, 7:54am Every time I think that my life may be a tough I think of this brave little girl and remember that I really don’t have anything to complain about. I don’t know this little lady but she sure gives me inspiration http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_Delezio Barry |

Title: Re: One Brave little girl Post by Cathi04 on Aug 24th, 2006, 8:25am Aww, Barry, that is quite a story. What a tough girl, and what rotten luck she runs into. I wish her well. This past weekend, our car club launched a fundraiser for the grandson of one of our club members. Nicholas is 4 yrs old, and has inoperable brain-stem cancer. I got to meet Nick on Sun., smiling as he "geared up" for a ride in a local fire truck, with sirens blaring. He's oblivious to what is happening to him, and has a constant smile on his face. It doesnt matter HOW much money we raise. The bottom line is, no matter HOW much money we throw at Nicholas, he is not going to see his 5th bday. Sun WAS Nicholas Day. We celebrated HIS life, and he smiled, and, for a few hours, his parents were surrounded by unconditional love and support....and HOPE! Miracles do happen! ..just look at Sophie!!!!!!! There, but for the grace of God, go I....... Cathi |
