Title: All in a Day's Work Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 21st, 2006, 9:21pm http://www.nbc10.com/2006/0821/9713456_240X180.jpg I can share this story without breaking confidentiality because it is on the news. Today I took care of one of for quadruplets born just after midnight last night at 28 weeks gestation. I didn't end up in the news program even though the camera guy did film me taking care of my quad but actually they didn't even show my quad on the news! I know because he had a blue hat on, and I know which hand his IV was in, etc....after spending 12 hours taking care of a baby, you really get to know a lot of details! In the video, they do show a blonde nurse, and she is standing next to the other baby I was taking care of - you can't see her since obviously there is no permission to show her on tv, but she is in the swing on the floor - you can see the back of the swing! My 2 babies were right next to each other over there and then I picked up a 3rd across the room at 3pm to 7pm. (I worked 7a-7p.) So ABC news also came in to film the story at around 7:30pm. I was finished caring for my babies at that point and was sitting writing notes. The camera man did film me sitting at the table writing my notes, but I don't know if they'll show that! I have both set to DVR tonight at 11pm and will put in a VHS tape to record ABC just in case they show me! I can't share what I think about the whole story or any other details because that would violate HIPAA and other things. The neonatologist makes a comment about how one needed a little more support than the others, and I believe that was the one I was taking care of... Let me know what you think!
