Title: As Promised... Pics Of My Bestest Friend!
Post by Carl_D on Aug 21st, 2006, 12:09am
For the last 13 years my best friend has been a metal flake black 1992 Jackson Stealth with custom EMG pickups, double locking Floyd Rose, and a fast fretboard that almost plays itself. Until getting this guitar, I had played shit guitars since I started at age 10. When I got this guitar I swore I would have it until death. Though I had to part with my baby twice (this last time for 15 months), my goal is to carry it the grave.

Why is this guitar my best friend? I have cried through it, screamed through it, sang through it... and it does not ask anything of me except attention. I always swore I would never defile the surface of this beauty by placing any kind of sticker on it... but one day a sticker came along that begged to be placed above the pickups. The sticker has been on there for over 6 years now, and has also provided an avenue to tell people about CH if they ask me about it - which has happened quite a few times.

This thing still plays as hot as the day I bought it in July of '93.

Carl,

That is one good looking guitar.  (I like your head shaving too:)

Here's to many nights and days of playing painfree!

Always been a keyboardist, but I can appreciate a great guitar.

Rock on, Carl.

As I've said before, your music will have its time.  I believe this.

Tom - finally something we agree on! I've had about a half dozen ESPs fromthe 80's (back when each one was hand built). My first one was the Kirk Hammett model with the skulls and crossbones inlays. Back then that was a cutsom shop model and I paid 2500 for it. I just checked the ESP site and they now list for 3500. too bad I sold mine years ago.

Maybe i'll post a pic if I can stand the site of me 15 years youinger with hair down to my ass! Ah the 80's.....

PS - I got a few ESP pickups laying around here without of home, somewhere. Send me your work addy and I will send one to ya if you are serious about it.
