Title: Dancing to no Music. Newest Poem
Post by Daddys_Devil on Aug 19th, 2006, 11:18am
Wrote this last night but didn't have time to post. Hope everyone likes it.

Dancing to no Music
Eyes on fire.
Time to rock.
Pacing the floor.
Watching the clock.
I'm scared to death.
'Cause the pain won't leave.
Ready to end it.
Someone shoot me please.
Without music,
the dance goes on.
Wanting to disapear.
Wishing the pain gone.
You shout.
I want to scream.
Try to get to the place.
The place in between.
Eyes on fire.
Time to rock.
Pacing the floor.
Watching the clock.

Always,
Felicia  8)

Felicia, those two lines were like icewater thrown over me.  I've never found the "place in between", despite trying to find it for a very long time.

Nice job.

Best,

George

Thanks guys. Glad you liked it.

George, I know exactly what you mean. I've been trying to get there all my life. It seems I've been fighting everything my whole life. And everytime I get a little bit closer, it moves farther away. :-[ Mom asked why I was hidding out in the rain once. I told her it was nothing but after she left I said (to myself) that I was trying to get away from her, from my sister, or from what ever it is that I'm running from. I hope to find out what that is soon.

Carl, if you can do it, have at. I'd like to hear it when you get it finished. And as for knowing it at this depth at this age, well, I guess that it all depends on who you're talking to. If I meet everyone some day, you'll think a little differently. Let's just say I'm not your ordinary 14 year old girl. As some of you may have noticed. ;)

How's about another one. This one doesn't deal with the pain of CH. But of a forbiden love. And I know that all of us has felt that at least once or twice before. This one's called Black Love.

When I see you, my broken heart
beats just a little bit faster.
You're the reason,
that I live for tomorrow.
Like a blade,your eyes,
they cut straight to my soul.
One day, I'll steal
your hard heart.
Just as you
took mine.
Broken and brused,
together we'll be.
I'm trapped here.
Trapped in a black, forbiden love.

Always,
Felicia  8)

I love the new poem.  Sometimes the love is not forbidden, just crippled.

I'd like to hear Carl put it to music, too.

My youngest is 17. I was still having kids when my friends & siblings were having grandkids.  My daughter Cathy is protective, also.

For those of us who had wondered, this is the pain of a supporter.

Thanks Felicia. When it is recorded, it will be posted. It may take a few days to complete, but I will post it when mixed down.
