Damit.....thought I would kick back and watch a pay per view movie tonight and RELAX for a change.....movie was half way thru and BLIP it goes out cuz of a rain shower !?? Happens every dam time I buy a movie and want to relax..........EVERY SINGLE TIME !!!!! Can't get shit.......so here I sit.......shit shit shit Pam

I know.....it's no real disaster but for what I pay a month it's a  dam "crime" !!!!!!!

If you are using a DTV or Dish dish @~18" get a 36" dish.  Unless you have rain of biblical strength, no rain fade.  I got one because of 2 way sat. communication for internet & TV.  Made a huge diff.

The movie sucks too from what I can tell now that it is comeing back on it bits and pieces....seems to be alot of QUALITY SCRIPT of arghhhhhhh's and screaming.....and LOTS of ugly people and fake blood. It should be called Walmart revenge.....but actually the name of it is 'The Hills Have Eyes'..........a real Suck-4-me movie Pam  [smiley=hurl.gif]

Dam it jus went off again......oh gee I am goin to miss the credits............sheesh !!!!!!


ps: Paul......were LUCKY to get this weak Direct tv little satillite down here in this valley surrounded by hills and trees......only one we can get and don't even know HOW we get it. Brad had to install it......they wouldn't do it.....satillite is across the creek part way up the hill with cemented pole. Can't get the other dish's cuz the trees block the view we need. But this one we got now goes out if it sprinkles for 75 bucks a month !!! (Brad has his sports channel added)

The Hills Have Eyes is a classic!  It's up there with Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Speaking of Chain saws, Brad better get busy and clear a line of sight to the from the dish to the sat.

I hear ya about how expensive it is.  What ever happened to wabbit ears?  Didn't get many channels but the shows were worth watching.  Ya got more SHOW than comercial too, dagnabbit!

I just watched that movie "The hills have eyes" two weeks ago.  If you want to know any part you missed pm me and I will fill you in.  I wasn't that impressed with the movie.  I love horror.

I was going to watch that one too but Dave is watching the Red sox and now its too damn late to watch it..I will no doubt fall asleep... they cannot seem to write a good scarey movie anymore..... sheesh...... ree

ps when a stranger calls was pretty good though......

Sorry Pam but this too shall pass.

Ree, Ah, half your confusion solved!  My dog and stick your life comment was in reference to lines in the origional movie.  When I posted it I was not aware there had been a remake of the origional.  The lines must not have been in the remake.

And you thought I was stark raving mad didn't you? ;;D

Yeah, they use a satelite, but they have an unobstructed line to it, bigger dish too!

ps, with i nternet access and my families wanton use of pay per view, I regularly pay the cable company in the area of $200 a month. (but my wife sais we can't afford for me to buy a motorcycle, go figure)

If you have DirecTV and this is a problem, make sure you only get movies with an All day ticket.  Then you can watch the rest of the movie on another channel or tape it later in the evening.

I have a similar problem and I hate it but it is still better and cheaper than cable would be.

I did buy one that was the 'all day ticket' and even tried to catch the middle thru the end part I missed LATE at nite but it was still scrambled up cuz of the wetness I guess or damp air ? It will go off or break up really bad when it starts to sprinkle and stay out the rest of the nite alot of times even tho it QUIT raining hours previous. Pisses me off.....but we are deep in a valley in the woods and I don't even know how the dam thing comes in at all. But I don't understand why it stays off so long ? If it goes off from lightning and storms I have to unplug it for a few hours for it to reboot cuz it won't work rite if I don't....only get half the channels and it's all messed up. And it will actually go off alot of times before it rains or storms here or we even know it is goin to ? Questionable questions Pam

We can't get cable here and without the satillite we can't even get the three local channels. Maybe ONE will come in real fuzzy and it always has basketball. Seems everytime I sit back and buy a movie I never get to see it all cuz it is always rainin SUMWHERE.
