Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by JeffB on Aug 17th, 2006, 12:08pm Not long ago I was in the bath tub relaxing, when I was ready to get out I grabbed the ceramic soap and wash rag thingy in the wall. As I pulled myself up with the ceramic soap and wash rag thingy it came out of the wall and I clocked myself between the eyes. Is'nt doing bodily harm to your self fun?? ;;D |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by Margi on Aug 17th, 2006, 12:27pm klutzy clusterheads..... I think it's a commonality. A few years back, Mike was running down the stairs with a glass of coke in his hand, taking the stairs two at a time and giving a little rebel yell on the way down. He was playing with the dog and chasing him. As he neared the bottom two stairs, for reasons only a clusterhead would understand ::), he vaulted upwards to leap to the bottom. SMACK. Beaned himself right across the forehead on the drywalled crosspiece of the stair ceiling. All I heard was the crunch, then glass breaking and then a small little 'uh-oh'. He fell down hard on his elbow and it swelled up like a balloon. He had a pretty good goose egg on his forehead for about a week after. Why do you guys always hurt your heads?? Don't you have ENOUGH pain there already? |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by seasonalboomer on Aug 17th, 2006, 12:34pm I'm blessed with being 5' 6" and some change so head injuries are very rare for me. Silver lining for short people. Scott |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by Mattrf on Aug 17th, 2006, 12:44pm OK When I was younger and working in construction I was under a house on a hill so lots of room, I grabbed two 2” X 4”’s to pull myself over the foundation and did not look up and the foundation was a tall one so I pulled myself up hard and fast, and wouldn’t you know it there was a cross support right at head level. I dam near knocked myself out, sat on my ass for probably 20 minutes rubbing my head and being thankful no one was there to see me make an ass of myself. [smiley=laugh.gif] Dam I can still remember how bad that hurt. Matt |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by JeffB on Aug 17th, 2006, 1:01pm I got another one. When I was in high school I was ditching with some friends. We were at my buddies house sitting around the kitchen table passing a doobie when one of my "friends" looked me in the eye and flicked his lit cigarette at me. It hit me between the eyes and then the race was on. He ran outside the front door and jumped over the little wall just outside the entry way, I on the other hand jumped up ON the wall thinking I would land on him. Well, I jumped and my head hit the eave and I landed on my back. There I was with a black spot between my eyes a lump on my forehead thats was growing by the second and 5 extremely stoned guys around me laughing their asses off. Ahhhhh.....good times.... ;;D |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by georgej on Aug 17th, 2006, 6:56pm A couple of years ago, I lifted a fifty-pound box over my head to put it on a shelf. I fumbled it, and it fell squarely on the bridge of my nose. Rang my head like a bell. Lots of blood, too. Didn't break my nose (not that you could tell, anyway), but I still have a white scar across my nose. Best, George |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by cajunnavyguy on Aug 17th, 2006, 7:00pm running throught the house, chasing my brother when I was a kid. He ran in the bathroom, I dove for him and yup, he slammed the door while I was in midair. 6 stitches |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by ShadowLord on Aug 17th, 2006, 7:14pm As a kid... Running through the house, run into a door edge on... Stitches; Jumping on the couch, fall head first into a glass coffee table... Stitches; Chase a punk that was messin' with my friends 'til he ran and hid in his house, as I was walking away said punk throws a chunk of ice and hits me right in that little space behind the ear... Knocked out for a few minutes; Playing baseball (pitching), line drive hit straight to my left eyebrow... Blood everywhere, butterfly stitches and eye swoled near shut for a while; Swinging a swing at school with the chain broke off one end (One of those swings made with the think rubber, and the heavy steel ends where the chains attach), I get distracted by someone after swinging the swing away from me and it swings back and the heavy steel end hits me square between the eyebrows... Swoled up for about a week and the knot never really went away; And various other punches, bumps, landing on my face, and banging my head with less serious results. As an adult... Mainly just many, many conks on the head, but nothing too serious for a while. PFDAN.............................................. ShadowLrd |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by Melissa on Aug 17th, 2006, 8:08pm I walk sideways and lose my balance a lot, but it's because of a genetic brain disorder more than being a clusterhead. Although, being a ch'er could be a contributer too...I dunno. :-/ |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by Margi on Aug 18th, 2006, 10:57am See? I'm tellin ya...klutziness is a commonality! Mike also had a 400 lb steel girder fall on the top of his head at a construction site. Nope, he doesn't need to wear a hard hard (before the days of enforced safety regs at workplaces). That was the one and only time he's ever been to ER since I've known him. Lotsa stitches and lovely horseshoe shaped scar on his skull to this day. As they were stitching it up, the top of his head resembled a balloon inflating because of the pooling blood. It was quite the sight. The weight of the girder actually cracked T3 vertebrae for Mike but we didn't find THAT out until 3 weeks later and after he'd been going to the chiro for a sore neck. ::) We spent that Christmas with Mike in bandages and tubes coming out of his head. And...before we go THERE...all of these injuries occurred after he started having clusters. |

Title: Re: my dorkiness to make you laugh :) Post by chewy on Aug 18th, 2006, 12:49pm This just in! Not 10 minutes ago some idiot in Charlestown , MA was walking through a parking lot looking down at his cell phone. The clutz was completely unaware of the metal ladder sticking out over the hood of the contractors truck. WHAMO. Looks like the observant one will be getting some stitches over the left eye. |
