She was the little girl found dead in her home in Boulder Colorado10 years ago. And Sean brought up a good point about how this case was handled........which was poorly IMO.

When this story first broke, I was tramatized, as Meggie was near the same age. I did the over protective Mom thing for week or so, and I brought her into my bed to sleep so I could "protect her" so to speak.

You have to understand my divorce was not final yet, and the proceedings were very protracted and hostile, and my only concerns at the time was the protection of my children. This crime hit way too close to home knowing the fantasy confessions my ex hubby had made to me about a cousin of his that his parents brought to live at their home for a time. Dismemberment and storage in the garage freezer. I was so nieave when I married him. But those confessions stuck with me.

That was a 'terrible' thing to happen to a little girl but I always wonder about parents that do that to there kids with the beauty pagent thing esp as far as they took it.......makein a 6 year old look and act like she is a sexy adult women and the more convinceing the more ya win ? I think there was more then one crime here Pam

Wierd case tho.......tragic none the less......I heard the guy from Thailand was a second grade teacher ???

I think her mom in Heaven has something to do with the capture of this perv... I am sure it will be some pedifile thing with someone in the child slave trade or something..... God rest her soul and that of her sad mom that never got over the loss of her beautiful girl.

I am so happy that this guy was arrested-he will not be able to hurt anymore children and the cloud of suspicion that has hung over the Benet family's head has finally been lifted. I cannot imagine the pain that they went through since their daughter's death-that was bad enough, but to have been all but accused in killing her for all of these years must have been awful. I believe that living with all of that stress contributed to her mother's illness and death; I am glad that the nightmare is oveer for them. I read that both parents knew of the immenent arrest of the suspect but were asked to keep quiet-I hope that that knowledge allowed poor Mrs. Ramsey to die in peace, knowing that she and her husband would finally have their names cleared. This case is truley a horrible trajedy.

This fucker in Thailand the core of the child sex slave trade needs to get inmate justice if found guilty. He confessed but said it was an accident. I guess it was an accident he is in Thailand and had child porn discovered on him too. This kind of thing makes me crazy. I think y'all know my position on child murderers, molesters, rapists, diddlers, abusers etc DEATH!!!!

There's only 3 types of visitors to Thailand which I have been to 2x.
1. Military (me)
2. Families (vacation)
3. Perverts (that son of a b_tch)
And I will admit that I always thought it was the mother. I hope she can forgive me.

We should bring him here convict the prick then send his as back too Thailand for sentencing, daily caning for the rest of his life would be a good punishment, should also send big bubba too Thailand to be his roomy so he doesn’t get lonely and can see what it is like to be bubbas bitch.

Really to bad the mom died before they got this prick, those poor people have been through hell with everyone thinking they had something to do with it.
I still wonder why they would not take the polygraph test, if they had things may have been much different for them. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have everyone thinking you killed your own child when you didn’t.

I am so glad they got him. I heard that the police told the Mother before she died that they knew who the killer was and she died knowing they would get him. I also believe she helped find the scum bag.

I once read a classified book on homicide cases and the evidence in those cases. The Ramsey case was one of them.

I believe that this guy is guilty but I don't believe that he is the only one. I still think that somone who lived in that house should be joining this guy in jail.

I feel sorry for the family but I just cannot understand why parents would "pimp" their kid. Who in their right mind would want their kid dressed and made up to look mature?

Most likely the child would be alive and happy today if the parents just let the kid be a kid. Pretty sad!

When my daughter was stationed in Charlevoix USCG, they stopped the Ramsey's boat and did a safety check. She said after finding out who they were was really weird. She did say they were very polite people though. I believe The Thi law enforcement officers probably have different tactics than most U.S. officers do. Heh Heh. I'd probably confess to being Dr. Mengela after they got done with me! Glad they caught him. I didn't know she had died until the news last night. So sad never really knowing. My money was on the step-brother, by the way.

I'm afraid because he was arrested in Thailand, and confessed to Jonbenet's death. If we want to prosecute him here in the US, during his confession, was he read his US constitutional rights (Mirandas) and did he have benefit of US counsel? We could extradite him back to the states, and all he has to do is claim he had no US legal counsel or was not given his US rights. Then what happens? Could he walk?

Even if he confessed to certain things that have never been publicized, even if his dna shows conclusively that he "was there" when Jonbenet died, if he didn't get his Miranda's, and had no US counsel in Thailand when he confessed, his confession could be thrown out. This will make it much harder for the DA to get a conviction.

Sandy you could be right but when I watched it on TV this morning one of the reporters asked if he did it and he said that he was with her when she died and it was an accident, they should be able to use that since he said it in public and on TV I would think.
Should be enough to nail his perverted ass to a wall I would hope.

I was wrong about him. He didn't do it. After watching the news and just seing the guy, you can tell that he got exactly what he wanted...world wide attention.

He probably knows a little bit about the family. They used to live in the same area and it was said that was a suspect early on in the case.

The problem is that some of the stuff he is saying about it is not true and doesn't match up to the way the stuff happened.

Ya know I have to keep wondering 'why' the mom would do it and kill the kid......esp since she was liveng her beauty queen life thru her with the pagents and all. But what if onea the others did it and all cover'd it up for the other......what about the brother ? Could he of had sumthin goin on with her and it got carried away.....(maybe she was a little bit of a tease....you know how girls can be esp ones liveing like her)......could the folks of cover'd it up and got away with it ? Maybe the brother and her were playin doctor down in the basement and he got mad or freaked out on her ? Maybe not......would hate to be blamed for sumthin like that but it's jus too wierd.
