In accordance with Section 3.03.01 of the OUCH Bylaws, Michelle Adamson, Thomas Mikel and Mike Day have been selected as the Nominating Committee for the 2006 OUCH Board of Directors elections.  The Board of Directors has four (4) positions open this year.  The seats that are up for election/re-election are:

Chuck Setzco
Pegg Flick
Bob Pahlow
Bill Mingus

Bob Pahlow and Bill Mingus voluteered to serve one year terms in order to stagger those seats thus insuring only half the BOD would be up for re-election in future years.

Persons interested in serving on the OUCH Board of Directors, please submit a letter of interest and any platform statement to elections@ouch-us.org  

Deadline for letters of interest/platform statements is Sept 20, 2006, to allow the Nominating Committee time to create and post the ballot.

I'd like to see some real interest by  people putting their name in the hat this year.

Ask yourself these questions?  What is stopping me from volunteering for OUCH?  Can I dedicate a small part of my life to help countless others?  What do I do that could potentially contribute to the greater good?

It is a personal decision.  But, I can tell you, the rewards are ten fold.

Ladies and gentlemen, just to be clear, three of the four people whose seats are up for election have already stated they will not be running for re-election.  One is undecided.  

You can't just sit back and wait for someone else to step up.  If you have the time and the talent to devote to yourself and your fellow clusterheads, OUCH needs you.

Please submit your nomination or letter of interest and any platform statement to elections@ouch-us.org before midnight September 20, 2006.

The OUCH Nominating Committee is pleased to introduce the following candidates for the upcoming election:

The 2006 Board of Directors Election - Candidate Question & Answer Board is now open on the OUCH Business Board.

This message board is strictly for communicating with the candidates in the 2006 Board of Directors election.  Posts that are off topic will be removed immediately upon discovery.  Posts that the administrators, moderators and/or OUCH Officers/Board of Directors members consider to be flaming, harassing, abusive, defamatory, threatening, making innuendos, casting aspersions or otherwise offensive will be removed immediately upon discovery.

Please help us keep this process as stress free as possible by sticking to the topic and asking appropriate questions/providing appropriate reponses.

The Q&A Board will remain open until midnight (Eastern Time), October 18, 2006.  At that point, the board will be made read only and the Voting Booth will open.  The Voting Booth will remain open until midnight (Eastern Time), October 28, 2006.  Votes will be tallied and verified October 29 - 31 and the results announced October 31, 2006.

For anyone who visited the Candidates Question & Answer Board and could not post new questions to the candidates:

There was an error in the configuration that has been corrected.  You should be able to post questions to the candidates now.
