We have been burning up all summer. My electric Bill has just been climing went from $250 to $363 then $401 then my last Bill was $522 That caused me to almost have heart attack.
Well I called the electric company they came out said its your air. I called the air condition repair man they came out said its not your air, handed me a bill for $73. So we were broke no money because of the high electric bill. Well I called a electrication (sp). Told him my problem. He said you sound like you are going to cry. I told him it wouldn't take much to make me cry. He told me it does sound like your air. He gave me the name of a man and told me that if he couldn't help and wasn't fair he would come out himself and do the work free. I called the man he told me to. They came out and said Lady your heat is running along with your air. They disconected my heat elements and its so cool in here now. They charged me $45 said they would have to order the parts. He said I could wait to get up the money. It won't be cold here until November.
Of corse we will get it fixed sooner than that, depending on the price.
Buddy will be happy now, because now I will want to cook. It got so hot in the house when I cooked.

Things are looking up. Slowly but surely! :-*

Oh Elaine, I am so happy for you now! But if it were me, I'd be sooooo pissed at those AC guys! They should have known what was causing the problem, but it sounds like all they do is just set up systems and that's the extent of their knowledge. ::)

BTW, with the title of your post, right away I thought you got a tank of helium! LOL!!! sorry, just the balloon girl in me. ;)

You have balloon on the brain LOL. I loved the pictures of the balloons.
I am pissed but happy that its fixed. My gradson doesn't have to run around in his underware to keep cool and I don't have to wear tank tops and shorts. At night I can wear PJs.
OK so Buddy won't be as Happy as me, he likes working up a sweat ::)

Hands down, no doubt about it, air conditioning is the best invention of the 20th century . . . .

(from 100 degree Wisconsin in the middle of a 4 year drought . . . . .)

I would be calling the other air guy and demand your 70 bucks back, tell him you will make a complaint to the better buisness bureau.

Heres an idea,

Call them up again and tell them that ever since the technician (Ya Right) checked the air conditioning, the furnace hasn't been working right and your freezing your ass off. When they say "You don't need your furnace in the summer" Tell them "That's right dickhead! so why couldn't your incompetant repairman figure out the furnace was running the whole time!"

Demand your money back, or stop payment on the check or credit card or whatever.

If that doesn't work, do like Matt said and call the BBB and complain like jonny in a dry county ;;D

I will report them, I did call them but got the owner who said she stands behind her man. She will be out of busness if she does.
