Title: horribly difficult Post by Dragnlance on Jul 28th, 2006, 10:10pm I cant believe this. I pass the Microsoft test, put the logo on my res, and 3 days later I get a call for an interview. That is the good news Well, during the interview, I get slammed all at once with a mid-range hit. No rampup, no warning, just BAM! Luckily the interviewer was looking away when I got hit, and did not see me jerk back in my chair. I managed to get thru the interview, (how I dont really know) and was told that he will be calling me in for a second interview next week. I hurt enough that I am not even sure just how good the job is, but I have time to inquire later. It is not the job I have been wanting, but it could very well be a better paying job. I just dont want to go from a job I hate to a job I wont like. I hate when I am whiney like this. I have something to show you guys shortly talk later Dragn |

Title: Re: horribly difficult Post by Melissa on Jul 28th, 2006, 10:24pm Lance, it's OK. You get 3 whine sessions per year and then you need to renew your whine license. ;) So what you gonna show us?? hmm? |

Thats the whole point Jonny. It took every ounce of will power I had NOT to do just that. He did notice, because he asked if I was ok. But I made it thru the interview. Afterwards I walked to my car, drove a block up the road where I wouldnt be seen by the employees there, and held my head until I could drive home. |

Title: Re: horribly difficult Post by sandie99 on Jul 29th, 2006, 3:38am Lance, until you know more, believe in what Jonny wrote: the job is yours. :) I am so sorry that the beast surprised like that... [smiley=hug.gif] It can be sneaky! (I recall freaking out one professor, when I got hit in the middle of a feedback discussion about my essay.) I believe that good things are coming your way, though. :) Best wishes, Sanna |

Title: Re: horribly difficult Post by Kirk on Jul 29th, 2006, 7:37am Not to worry you'll get the job. The hit was probably brought on from the stress of publicly admitting you have a MCSE Cert. |

Title: Re: horribly difficult Post by brewcrew on Jul 29th, 2006, 3:17pm Even at the same pay rate, a job you "won't like" is better than a job you "hate." With the former, you can buy some time. :D |

You know you hate the job you have, so it can't be any worse. I'm about to do the same thing. I am applying for a job I don't think I will like, but I hate the job I have. Maybe by the time I'm 60 I'll be happy in my job. Something to look forward to. I'm practicing for my last job......."Fries with that sir?".or maybe ......."Welcome to Wal-Mart!" Steve |
