If I dont release soon I will explode.
My Uncle Claude Passed this morning at about 12:30. :'(
I have always been close to my Dad and My Uncles. It is really REALLY hard to loose one of them. Sorry eyes are welled up pretty bad reght now. Uncle Howard WWII vet Showed me Family is everything, Uncle Lloyd WWII vet showed It is ok to follow your dreams, Uncle James WWII vet taught me to help my community volunteer fire fighter also, Uncle Henry Korean War vet/ rancher showed me the value of God and hard work, Uncle Claude WWII vet showed me to be me and always enjoy life, Uncle Charlie Vietnam vet always smiled even when hurting taught me to look for the positive in everything, And Dad (Billy) Korea/Vietnam vet Taught me how to put it all together and live as a good person,I have almost mirrored his life. Loosing any part of that puzzle takes away from my heart. I will always have those pieces but still feel a little emptier as they pass. I have never really told any of them how they have affected my life and for that reason I hurt even more. I am sure they know seeing How I have lived so far and never given up even when down, the way they have. We are not a wealthy Family but we are Rich beyond belief because we have always been there for eachother when needed. When I hear my dad almost in tears or any of my uncles choking back the pain Knowing they are all very strong proud men I wish there was some way to take the hurt from them, they all have been through enough.
I know I am rambling and probably dont make alot of sense but these are things I needed to get out before I went totally Insane.
Thanks for the listen and Please pray for all of them but espicially Uncle Claude, Who Lived life to the fullest and knew how to enjoy every moment.

Wow, quite the serving family! My condolences to you Mike and please know they all live on within you. Their time was not wasted in teaching you, as you've been a wonderful example of the kind of people they were.

Mike, my heartfelt sympathy for the pain you and your family are going through. Take some satisfaction that you come from a Great family of patriots who served their country proudly and Your Uncle Claude must have had a wonderful life surrounded by the people that you describe.

I only have one WW2 uncle left and I dread getting bad news from Iowa every time I think about him.

Mike I am so sorry for your loss, but you should be so proud of having such a great family with such strong family values, not all of us are so lucky and probably most of us aren’t. My prayers are with you and your family it is so tough to loose family and words can’t describe what you are going through. We are here for you bud.

I am sorry about your uncle. He sounds like an amazing and loving man. Thanks for sharing your memories of him.
I'm sure he KNOWS how you feel about him.

Ghost it's okay to ramble or do anything else you want to do.. you're amongst family... We might rant and rave amongst each other over certain issues, but we are still there for each other:

Mike - It hurts right now. Let it hurt. Feel the loss deeply. Be alone and cry your eyes out. It will make you appreciate him all that much more once the pain has subsided some.

Even when someone close to us passes and we have no unresolved issues with them, it still hurts, because we miss them a great deal. It's okay to vent here. We've all lost people close to us and we want you to know that eventually it will be better. Take care of you.

Mike Im with Linda, you might have missed opportunities to tell some of your family how you feel so make the most of the ones you have left.
Thats an incredible heritage of courage you have there, doesn't surprise me in the least having met you :)

The CH'ens are right. No time like the present. You might even send them this post.
Further, Uncle Claude lives on within you, which means from now on, he will always be with you.
Grieve- you have to, it's part of the process- but remember to celebrate the life and the love he had.

Your a "richer" person for what they have all taught you.....guess looseing one enphasizes the fact and keeps your feelings stronger. Sorry for your loss......I think it'd mean alot to all of them if you told them how much they have influenced your life. Ever once in a while one of our younger friends reminds Brad of what they have taught him and he BEAMS and feels he has done good......some sort of good will thoughts Pam
