The most bizzar explaination you have ever heard for the reason we get cluster headaches?

The best one I ever heard was geographic orientation i.e. N, S, E, W of the bed we sleep upon.

Not too bizzare (howdoyou spell bizarre anyway?) but one Doc told me it was all in my head & if I stopped thinking about it it would disappear. I walked out & never returned.

before i was diagnosed i used to think"it was ALL the [bad] things i had done".i had a strange up bringing. this site,the canidian and british site have helped chang my views.a harty thankyou to all.andrew.

Damn Paul, how bizarre is it that I have tried the head orientation thing, as well as living at sea level, above 9500 ft in the mountains, moving back and forth across the country to try different air qualities, desert air, extreme humidity, city life, way way out country life, living on boats, 3 months of total seclusion in the beautiful uninhabited Kings Canyon Park.

Not bizarre at all ! I have spent the better part of 20 years and all my money trying to run away from this bitch and if someone comes up with another idea I will probably try that too. Yeah I have even tried many of the snake oil ,voodoo/hoodoo crap.

Oddly enough I have even tried traditional American medical methods. Now that IS bizarre!!

What are ya gonna do.... I refuse to accept that this is all there is for the rest of my days.

Sorry, Paul I seem to have missed the gist of your post and answered with how weird I am :-[.

Most bizarre reason... I felt guilty about Vietnam or maybe sympathy pain because my Dad was paralyzed in an accident.

Both theories came from the same shrink at one of the better known "Headache Clinics"..... ::).....Tim

I had to answer this one! My dear darling mother gave me the reason for my headaches. She used to be a hairdresser, before she retired, and had her own shop for many years.

She told me one time, that if I cut my hair (as most of you know, it is SLIGHTLY long) and quit going around naked, my headaches would stop! (She and my Dad were TOTALLY disgusted with me going to nudist colonies! And to make it worst, I "dragged" my wife and kids there too!)

So, If we all keep our hair cut short, and never went around naked, we would all be cured!

Let me see ... naked vs headaches ... naked vs headaches ... NAKED vs headaches ... Sorry Mom (I am sure she is looking down on me), guess I am gonna continue to have headaches!

Mine was that I was a teeneager searching for attention because my parents got divorced and that I needed to face reality & "stop wasting doctors very precious time" That was the actual diagnosis from a neuro....freekin prick (pardon me)

I was told they were caused by smoking. Then it was sinuses. Then, it was the amount of daylight being received.

WHAT A FARCE!!!

Everybody knows that Cluster Headaches ar caused by Micro-Miniature Cuban-born Chinese Circus Midgets who crawl into your nostril thus plugging it up, then they party wildly near the Trigeminal nerve while singing Scottish folk songs and flatulating.
This discovery was made years ago when I woke up to a micro miniature Budweiser truck pulling up to my pillow and a couple of the buggers ran out of my ear to pick up a keg.

I suspect they do most of thier partying to country music, and that is what is TRULY causing the pain.

It could happen!

My headaches were diagnosed as Spinal Headaches by the first doctor, and he treated me with nerve blocks. But my mother had another answer, according to my mother, my headaches are because I started drinking and smoking before I had children????

But I like Carl_D's "circus midgets" theory best... I'm sure that's what happened to me..

i was once told...my face was sinking..or my immagination.....i suppose he was right in saying it is all in my head(when diagnosed the doc politely sked me to find out about ch ,so that i could educate him on ch)
which basically meant i would hear of a drug.....he would just give me it...ps.the letter helped educate,him and his very ignorant staff!
