Title: Hi, I'm back in the other land! Post by Jasmyn on Jul 26th, 2006, 1:27pm Seven years… yes, it took me seven years to get to a convention and it will take me more than seven millennia to remove a single memory of Milwaukee 2006. As I met one by one of you my fellow Clusterheads and wonderful supporters, there was affirmation of how real this feeling of belonging and family is. We spoke on this board for years about our deepest hurt, our commonality, our sadness and our joys but never in my life has there been this absolute place that I just belonged. With you there need not be the masks worn in public and with the rest of society, no hiding, no pretence… eventually my pot found its lid and I came home. We all act at times like normal people, with our normal idiocies, idiosyncrasies and ideologies but the fact remains that our abnormal abnormalities make us the most interesting, unorthodox and committed people with total single mindedness when it comes to our cause and condition. For years I read your posts and came to know you through your expressions written on a white background. After meeting you in person, the background became a kaleidoscope of colourful voices that will ring forever true in its beauty and familiarity. I thank you all for adding your voices to my existence and know that, even though I am at the other side of the world, it will take you years to get my high pitched voice out of your heads… so don’t even try, I’m here to stay! ;) High Five to ya’all! I've got too good an imagination already... I'm glad I didn't have to wait seven years to meet everoyone. Did your meds travel well on the rest of your trip?
