Title: Finally home
Post by Linda_Howell on Jul 23rd, 2006, 7:23pm

I was the last one out of Milwaukee with a 5:00pm flight on Monday, so I wanted to let you know I turned out the lights and locked the door.  ;)

Thank you Liz for the airport pick-up and working your butt off along with Rori to put the convention on.  Your daughters surprise of bringing her band in just as the meeting was over was terrific. As I was checking out on Monday, the front desk woman told me how very much all the staff enjoyed it also.

Thank you Brewcrew for the great concert in the park, for taking me back to the airport and introducing me to frozen custard.  ;)

Thank you Bill for seeing me through my hit Friday night. There was no way I could have made it back to my room without causing attention to myself and I hope the puncture wounds from my nails to your hands and arms are healing.

OUCH board and officers, you really shocked me with presenting me with 2 awards.  I am humbled and very touched.  Thank you.

I was so happy to finally meet Rich, Jasmyn and the Canadian contingency...you guys are just as great as I thought you were.

I had a wonderful time and the only thing that could have made it better was to be 20 degrees cooler.

Linda

You're welcome, Linda, but the pleasure was all mine. Now I have two more friends in my life.

Tell Jim hello for me. Glad you made it back safely.

aw jeeze......I forgot this and it's important.

There was a new guy at the convention named Dave.  Tall, thin...didn't stay long.  Later on I heard that he was in need and he never said a word.   Dave if you read this contact me and if any of you know who I'm talking about let me know.

I'm really having the post convention blues.   I haven't been at my computer for 2 weeks and I'll be up all night looking at posts and pictures and crying my eyes out.

sigh......

Yes, Linda.  He joined OUCH...Donna has his contact info.  I also have a 540 reg. I told him I would send him.

He's gonna get in touch with Donna I think.

So glad  you're home.   Miss you a bunch!

Since I was addressing Linda, two is proper. Now that I'm addressing you, I'll say "two, in addition to the dozens of others, not the least of which is my main man on the east coast."

I didn't mean to leave you or anyone else out. I've been getting hit harder this past week than I have in years, but I don't care. Milcon was a life changing event for me.
