I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy a music quiz but you might want to give the CAPS LOCK a break before you start posting it...

Just a thought.

OK either Yorky or LL clue me in.  I never professed to be the brightest bulb on the wall.

What is a cockney?

is ipswich a place in the country?

Midlands??  Suburbs or city?

Now that my ears have stopped ringing from all the hollerin, Yorky, your dialect is, shall I say; Challenging. ;;D

A Cockney is someone born in London within the sound of Bow Bells.. ie the bells of the great church of Bow.
That's the most "common" UK accent as far as TV etc goes (that you guys would know)
Ipswich is in Anglia, the Eastern Region of the country, its a town/city but it's largely an agricultural community,
Midlands is a vast area in the middle of the country and typically that was a big mining area as well as many other parts of the UK but they tend to start around the middle of the country. Alot of big cities in the Midlands too hence the "concrete" tag.

Hope that helps a bit! LOL

West Texan.. thats me!  ;;D Cheers DD, I knew you'd find a label for me (apart from psycho beetch that is!) Y'all know I love Texas and them Texans too don't you sis?!  [smiley=hug.gif]

LL, On rare occasions, we (bein men-folk) do ask directions.  This usually comes about by being nagged to death by wimmin-folk.  It is truely a choice between the lesser of two evils.  Sometimes we just have to take the less painfull road.   ::)

Oh sweet Jesus I got a young one here.

Yorks, your second response, the Tokens was correct.  The history of this song is very long.  Quite interesting too.  Dig deeper.  You will enjoy it.

I picked this song because it became popular when I was very young and every time I hear it it harkens me back to sweet memories.

Smells and sound.....Very primitave, very potent memory stimulators!

All I know is the original author, a dirt poor african fellow; just recently won a lawsuit (at least his family did) against the guy who paid him like 10 bucks, mixed it, and released it to make the big hit.
