Title: A favor please Post by maffumatt on Jul 21st, 2006, 7:57pm Can everyone please send this guy an email and ask him to remove the Havard story from his Blog? gunblog@claytoncramer.com. I don't like the idea of Timmy's death being used to further this guys agenda. I know his family wouldn't either. Please..... |

Title: Re: A favor please Post by maffumatt on Jul 21st, 2006, 8:12pm The house Timmy was killed in belonged to Kim Jester, another lifelong friend of both Timmy and I. He was as welcome in that house as he was his own. Jason Lollar was allowed to stay there after losing his job and had no where else to go. Timmy came home to find his wife gone and went the 2 miles down the road to see if she was at Kims. She was. He went in to find his wife in bed with Jason. Timmy beat the hell out of guy. The guy shot him once with a 30.30 rifle, then shot him again as he lay on the ground. The blogger is hailing this as a classic home invasion. Timmy was not armed but did cut him while beating him. If Timmy wanted to kill the guy he would have used the pistol in his car. |

Title: Re: A favor please Post by maffumatt on Jul 21st, 2006, 8:19pm I would hate to see his kids and family to run across it. I was just looking to see if there was anything new in the news when I run across it. Jason is looking at Man 2 for shooting him again while he was already incapacitated. He goes before the next grand jury. I don't ask much, but I am asking this from you guys. Please help me. |

Title: Re: A favor please Post by LeLimey on Jul 22nd, 2006, 5:22pm Here is the reply I've had to my email Matt It took a while to figure out who this was in reference to. We blog several dozen news accounts a week. 1. I'm sure that this is painful to a lot of his friends. However, the reason we collect these stories is because they provide useful information about civilian uses of guns for self-defense (and I'm aware that many of you are disputing whether this qualifies). We would no more withdraw a LEGITIMATE defensive gun use (and I recognize this is a matter of some question in your minds) than a newspaper would decide not to publish an important news story. 2. I'm told that this wasn't "really" a home invasion, and some of you are saying that Lollar was in the wrong because he was an adulterer. You won't find me defending adultery--but IF the news accounts which indicate Havard forced entry are correct, Lollar was legally in the right, and Havard was legally in the wrong. That would make Lollar's actions legally valid. We are very interested in linking to any news accounts that cast doubt about whether Havard forced entry or not. Your personal opinions about whether Mr. Havard could have forced entry, or whether it was okay because his wife was inside, really don't have any weight compared to news coverage or official actions. 3. Even ignoring the legal rightness, if you think that your spouse is being unfaithful, it is profoundly stupid to force entry to resolve the matter. There is at least the possibility that Mr. Lollar did NOT know who was forcing entry--and someone is so angry as to break and enter someone's home is obviously angry enough to be a serious hazard. |
