Title: Speechless
Post by Donna_D. on Jul 19th, 2006, 10:03pm
I have started and erased this post several times today due to the inability to express how I truly felt about this convention and all of you.  It has been hard to find the words, even now to let you all know how much I love and care about each and every one of you.

I am especially proud of our Officers, Board Members and Committee chairs for the exceptional work that has been done in the last year and I look forward to bigger and better things to come between now and the next convention.  Trust me on this one folks, this group of people have what it takes to get the job done.

When all of the official reports are out and all of the exciting news has been reported you will see exactly what I mean (I don't want to scoop Nani and her team by summarizing it all here, and honestly, I am sure I would leave something out.)

This year was so very special to me.  I met friends who for years I had only known through the message board, PM's and Chat.  Those "first meetings" I will always hold near and dear to my heart.  Funny thing is...they were exactly what I had always hoped they would be and more :)

Of course, sitting down and visiting with friends met at previous get togethers was especially fun.  We stayed up until the wee hours of the morning with our giggle boxes turned up full blast (I don't thing Rich and Jean will ever be the same but I do know "we were getting along just fine" ;)

The hard work and effort put forth by Rori and her team made what was undeniably the absolute best convention I have ever attended.  Hats off to you ladies, you made the event so very special and memorable for all of us.

A big thank you to my biggest supporter and best friend.  He kept me sane and made me slow down when the exhaustion of the weekend was consuming me..."she is off the clock" came out of his mouth on more than one occasion, and for that I am grateful.  Without him there, I don't know where I would be today...or any day.  Thank you, honey.  I owe you one (or more ;) .)

For those of you who could not attend, we were able to capture a lot of the convention on video.  I don't know how long it will take to upload/process, but we will have that to you as soon as possible so that you can see what you missed and plan for future conventions.

I didn't get home until 3:30-4am this morning and I am exhausted at best.  I will rest well tonight, knowing that I have friends all over this wonderful world who I care deepl y and dearly about.  A special thank you to those who traveled from so far away just to be with the family.  Jasmyn, Helen, Svenn, Bente, Michael, Ben, Andrea, Carol and a thank you to Aussie Brian for the very special gift of eucalyptus.  Your thoughtfulness brought many smiles and tears.  Next year, you have to be at RichCon.

Goodnight for now, Love and Peace to you all.  When you remember this convention I hope it is smiles and tears of joy...don't be sad...there is always next year :)

Donna I love you my evil twin.. I think we've proved that more than once or twice lately eh?!  ;)
Thank God all I have to do now is pick up the phone, I'd be lost without that.
Only about 359 days to go!

You? Speechless? Please.............
However I will take this opportunity to thank you for all the time and dedication that you and the board members put into OUCH. I couldn't do it and there isn't much I can't do. Of course, I don't like to brag *sniff*

See you around the bend.  :-*
