Title: An Apology Post by alchemy on Jul 19th, 2006, 9:18pm I received a call from someone on the board today who I had given my phone# to because they were going through a hard time and I was trying to help. Well I was informed on this call that the pic thread I put out during Milcon was out of line and trying to stamp on the fun of Milcon. Please believe me when I say that was never the intent. I was just trying to rally some fun amoungst those of us who could not attend. So if I offended anyone I do apologise. jim |

Title: Re: An Apology Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Jul 19th, 2006, 9:21pm Don't know who said it - don't want to know - but frankly, perhaps said person should rethink that statement. I don't think you did anything wrong at all and I got some enjoyment out of that thread too. Different strokes for different folks, people!!!! Carol |

Title: Re: An Apology Post by Donna_D. on Jul 19th, 2006, 9:24pm Jim, I don't know who would or could have said such a thing. It was out of line and does NOT speak for the rest of us. While sitting in the garden area with some of the other convention go-ers, we all took a look at your thread and simply DIED laughing!! I believe someone even raised a toast to your ingenuity in making the best out of the situation! Kudos to your creativity and humor, my friend. Nevermind the naysayer. No apology necessary. We loved it and that is coming from the top! DD |

Then I came in to see the thread you put up, totally not expecting it, and laughed my ass off when i saw you cleaning the toilet. In fact, I thought it was so funny I made the wife take a look. That was the funniest thread I have seen in a long time. Frankly, I dont even see that point of view that is was mean spirited. Thanks for the laugh, Jim. B$ |

Title: Re: An Apology Post by LeLimey on Jul 20th, 2006, 12:23am Tell 'em Bollocks from me Jim! All of us there were thinking of all of you who weren't there and whom we were either missing or longing to meet. Seeing pics of you made our day too and if anyone else thinks otherwise then they need a sense of humour adjustment and I'm reliably informed I have the left hook to do it ;) We loved it Jim, no one posted negatively about it and frankly, if they don't have the nerve to say publicly what they will try and hurt in saying privately that should tell you all you need to know. Title: Re: An Apology Post by Cathi04 on Jul 20th, 2006, 1:24am As another one who was living vicariously here at home, I found it a refreshing break, and thoroughly enjoyed your thread, Jim.I even tried to jump in with my OWN story! Let's face it, we ALL would've liked to have been in Milwaukee, but, some of us simply couldnt do it this year, so we celebrated with you when we could...pored over the pics as they arrived, and went about our days with good wishes and humor....... Jim, you made us ALL laugh! I know, since next year you will surely be at Rich Con, I want to be there as well. I have to meet this wacky man! As for complaints?? Bollocks!!!!!!! now, I have to go back to learning how to resize pics.... Thank you, Alchemy(Jim)! Cathi |

Title: Re: An Apology Post by Mrs Deej on Jul 20th, 2006, 1:41am Jim, OMG!!! Even though we were in Milwaukee, we still wanted to be apart of everyone's lives that weren't able to make it as well by viewing the other posts too! We're not that selfish!! :P Sheeesh DJ and I laughed at those pics, and wished you all were with us. Thank you for making a "down" situation "up" for everyone that couldn't make it. You're the best!!! Like I was once told on this board, "there will always be someone to piss in your cherrios, just pour another bowl!" Now...............GET YOUR ASS THERE NEXT YEAR! Much love... Title: Re: An Apology Post by Edna on Jul 20th, 2006, 8:52am No apology necessary.................your post managed to bring a great smile and hearty laugh amid the tears of sorrow of not being able to be in Milwaukee. I had one HELL weekend here. Besides missing being with Svenn and Bente (and all you other too) again, I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to drive to the scene of an accident involving my youngest son. HE IS OK got hit from behind by a drunk driver on his way home with his new truck Your post made me want to FLUSH a whole lot. THANK YOU pf wishes, EDNA |

Title: Re: An Apology Post by Carl_D on Jul 21st, 2006, 10:14am Joke 'em if they can't take a fuck!!! Seriously! Some people have no sense of fucking humor. You don't need to apologize for making anyone else laugh, smile, or grin. If it pisses them off that bad, tell them to go back to sucking persimmens!!! This tempts me to start back up on the weekend funnies again once my puter is up and running again. That made a few people laugh, a few people cry, and pissed off a few who ran out of persimmens and had to lick their toilet bowls clean to keep that damning smirk on their face whenever they judge someone else for making a funny. :::steps off of soapbox::: Viva Le Pee Pee, Carl D |

I was out of town trying to drown my sorrow at not making it to Milcon by visiting the war memorials in DC, Vietnam, Korean, and WW2 to place some tributes prepared by myself and my fellow members of a "Support Our Troops" group I belong to. Now I need to start catching up on everything that has been going on while I was away. Glad to hear that a great time was had by all and I am ecstatic over next years location ;;D ;;D ;;D I am finally going to make one :D ......Cheers...Tim |
