Title: Re: best thing since sliced bread Post by brewcrew on Jul 18th, 2006, 5:00pm Isn't it great? Now multiply that times 60 and you'll approach what I felt at the convention this weekend. It is something else when people in a group don't just shake hands when they first meet. They hug, and hug tightly. It's like nothing I've ever experienced. You are not alone. Bill |

Title: Re: best thing since sliced bread Post by BarbaraD on Jul 18th, 2006, 6:02pm If you get a chance MEET with a clusterhead face to face. It's amazing how quick you get to know each other (0-10 in 5 secs flat). Over the years I've had the opportunity to meet over 100 (probably closer to 250-300) and there's never been an awkward moment (a few drunken brawls, but no awkardness). I've never "shaken hands" with a one -- it's always been "hug" time as soon as we meet. The funny thing is - if I'm in a town where I know a clusterhead lives, I'd have no problem showing up for dinner without warning. That's how quick you get to know each other. It's indescribable, but there's a bond upon meeting. Weird but true. Go back to the archives and read about the "Fearless Five" who met in Rochester NY in July of 99. Not a one of us turned out to be an axe murderer and we all recognized each other on sight (we didn't have pictures on the MB at that time so we were flying solo on that one). Putting faces to names is just something you have to experience. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: best thing since sliced bread Post by Charlie on Jul 18th, 2006, 9:46pm The thing is that it isn't what you expect....it's so much better. Everyone of us seems to know exactly what the other needs. It's unreal meeting 50 people that know exactly what not to say and do when someone gets hit. Glad to know you and hope to meet you some day. Charlie |

Title: Re: best thing since sliced bread Post by Sandy_C on Jul 21st, 2006, 4:29pm Ditto Lady Luv. Just coming back from my first convention meeting 50 or so other clusterheads, just like ME, was an awesome experience. They are my family now. It's indescribable how I feel about these people. Welcome to the family, and use every opportunity you get to find and meet another clusterhead. Oh, and Helen, if I had to follow those directions, I'd be back in Milwaukee! Sheeesh! ;;D Sandy |

Better than any med out there. Unless of course your working with what I got up here in Boston. Jonny, Sean, Beth and Bill L. Christ almighty. I have to wait till they are out on work release or until the attendants put calls through to the sun room after med call. |

I met Don, quite a nice gent Helen, honestly. He recently came over to my house to get some lobster traps out of the basement. I had to work so I let the old lady know he was gonna be stopping by with a few buddies and he should be able to handle it, all he needed to do is get in the basement, she was cool with that because she knows we talk blah blah blah. Long story short, I call her about noon time and ask if everything went ok? She says "ya" I said "nice guy don't ya think?" She says "ya, but he didn't seem gay, are you sure he's gay??" I dropped the phone I laughed so hard [smiley=laugh.gif] I totally forgot to tell her we joke around about that dude, it totally caught me off guard, I laughed for days about that. Just so you know she knows your not now, and she said you were very nice too LOLOLOLOL ;;D ;;D Sean............................................ ;;D Dude I would of died if she said "is that your boyfriend with ya" ROTMFFLMMFAO !!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude she had know idea, I am so sorry [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] |
