I have a chance to enter 3 pictures in a local art show. It's not a juried show, but the winners will be picked by the public. I can also put the photographs up for sale. Now, I don't know which ones to take and I need your opinions (and I still hope to get another picture of two taken before the I have to register). I haven't printed them yet, so have to get that done and get them framed before next Thursday.

Thanks folks. So far the top three are2, 5 and 7 (and they are way out in front of the others). These pictures will be judged by *average* Joe, not other artists.

I live in north Louisiana.

Oh noes! 1-3 were taken in southern Arkansas, on Highway 82, between Conway Ar and Crosset AR at daybreak.

4-5 were taken across the road from where I live (at least there IS an advantage to living in the country).

7-10 were taken on D'Arbonne Lake (at daybreak of course), just a few miles up the road from my house.

11-12 were taken about 4 miles from my house.

Next pictures I hope to take are sundown on D'Arbonne Lake.

The only sunset shots were the last two. The rest are all morning/daybreak shots (not an early riser, just had to be at work at an awful hour).

I was hoping to make it up to the lake and get some evening shots, but it's not looking too good. Got the crud and ain't feeling too fricking spiffy.

Professionally I would choose either #11 or #1----
they are best overall balanced compositions.

Carolyn I've looked at these for a couple of hours now... tough tough TOUGH decision.
From the first lot with a very narrow margin I'd have to say 2, 4 and 5 and from the second which was even harder as I truly loved them all I would pick 7,8,11 and 12. I tried to pare it down to three but paring it down to four was hard enough.
Your pics make me feel peaceful inside like nothing else can do.
Don't forget my favourite pic of yours though! The one of the worn tree trunk.. my "Me" pic :-*
